QUOTE(prokiller1199 @ Jul 20 2020, 08:59 PM) Ermm, i don't think so. Flashing CFE can be easy but people are not kind to share their AC18 Cfe with working AiMesh. This has been done after 30+ hours of testing and unbricking process. This tutorial only for 380.70 usage only. Do not follow from stock firmware. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pwx...hBx?usp=sharingpincode (can be any 8 digit numbers) [eg: use your birthdate, 19830516] Also, this cfe has been modified by me to 1000Mhz and strongest possible WiFi signal (28.50 dBm)! Have Fun! It is advised to set the wifi channel fixed after updating, thanks for the hard work, will feedback after i try. by the way, how is your experience with the latest firmware so far?

QUOTE(prokiller1199 @ Jul 20 2020, 10:04 PM) You have 2 AC18? I tested it and it is working, Im using ethernet backbone. The setting need to be tweak a bit to suit different people needs. yes, one main router (hgg firmware), the other as media bridge (koolshare). btw this CFE mod can only work with koolshare 384 firmware?

QUOTE(thamvmk @ Jul 21 2020, 10:28 PM) What are the improvements observed from 384.18 with AiMesh from old 380.70_HGG-FINAL? Mind to share some figures? Also, is it mandatory to have 2 or more AiMesh routers in order to benefit from AiMesh feature? 1. improvements: UI is improved and new features implemented - OPEN NAT and GAME. 2. Yes, minimum 2 units to run AiMesh QUOTE(prokiller1199 @ Jul 21 2020, 10:29 PM) what I can say is 380 is more stable Hi bro, thanks for sharing the files and tutorial. I would like to feedback that your method works splendidly, no bricking encountered. I am happy to report that the AiMesh function works. Your oc of 1000 core / 666 ram is not stable for my unit running in router mode (crashes every few minutes), so I have reverted to 800 core / 666 ram as default. QUOTE(711726 @ Dec 22 2020, 12:06 AM) Enhanced mode under 'Max speed'. Does it have big impact on speed if change to Max coverage? max coverage will bump the signal strength for better coverage but inconsistent speed for weak signal devices. hgg firmware should have similar or better signal strength compared to tenda firmware due to the uncapped RX/TX power in the firmware. QUOTE(711726 @ Dec 29 2020, 12:21 AM) Bought AC23 as AP, working as intended. Now all of sudden, my 5G WiFi on AC18 got problem. Wireless-->Professional tab shows 5GHz radio is already turned on, but I couldn't see the AP list on my phone. 2.4GHz is fine, but now for some reason cannot even see 5G network on the same router, even though on Professional tab, radio in ON. Wireless-->Site survey also states "5 GHz radio is disabled - cannot scan that band!" Update. Reflash with HGG 380.70 doesn't solve it. Site survey still say radio disabled. Still I cannot see my 5GHz wifi on wifi analyzer app, but Wifi icon on GUI states 5GHz band set with channel 0. Manually overriding the channels to something else (say 149), the WiFi icon will still say channel 0. Appreciate for any help try clear your nvram/reset factory defaults and re-do your configuration.
