Hi, anyone has experience buying antminer direct from bitmain? does it subject to custom tax upon delivery? if yes, how much will it be if the price is about usd 2400?

cost + insurance + freight.. usd rate follow the rate when they receive the item + a lil mark up.

if u purchase with just cost + freight.. they will "help" you add "insurance" and put a tax on that value as well. value depends on their mood.

recent cases.. some were told to pay for sirim.. but even after paying.. ur unit will still not get any sirim stickers..

btw its still under "computer" so 6% gst

so if my total for 3 units is usd 7525.15, how many percent of the custom tax will be?
for the sirim should i apply for that or the the custom will apply it on my behalf?
any risk of custom confiscating the antminers?

There is disbursement fee and 6% GST.
You need to apply SIRIM yourself.
The postage company will tell you what to do.

I have bought AntRouter before from BitMain.

Can i buy as an individual or must company register?

You dont need a sirim approval for the machine, you can advise the shipper to put hs code as 8473.30.9000 and there will be no import duty and sirim needed.

Or if you are bringing in bulks you can go ahead and visit kastam penjenisan to specify and get their verification so there wont be any problem for the shipment.

Mine one is individual and still required tax and SIRIM.

Thanks for all reply..all were correct..i had confirmed it with the custom department and dhl courier in maskargo kota kinabalu, import duty exempted as it's computer part..still subject to gst 6%..they never mentioned about sirim though..

The officer basing on which hs code? make sure to keep a copy of the k1 form or customs receipt if any for any other incoming shipments.

Its all about the tariff code, just have to be knowledgeable enough to explain to the officer the purpose and usage of the machine.

The code which the dhl person quoted was 8504909000.
Actually at first i went to the custom office, but since they themself not really sure of the coding, they adviced me to see the dhl person..anyhow, the dhl person already been processing a lot of antminers with the the above code

I paid only for the items and freight, but they will further add 1% insurance too

anyone care to list down the process right after bitmain ships out the goods? which shipping company they tend to use?

On check out you can choose the courier either by UPS, DHL or Fedex.

I havent receive my shipment yet, this is how i understand.
when shipment arrived the courier will let you know..you will have to go to the courier office which usually is next to a small custom office.you pay the tax involved and then you can get your item.

If anyone has any issue with UPS, DHL or Fedex and required to pay more than 6%, please do not hesitate to PM me.

why you using DHL instead of others? seems like fedex is the cheapest option.

Hii bro my shipment arrived at klia, however there is someone call me telling that he is klia staff and can help me to do the clearance without paying the tax and whatever so ever just pay him RM1,000 for a total of 17 Antminer. Can him be trusted? Thanks
