I've been advised to be very cautious when using Value RAM with the new Intel-based processors Mac. Didn't quite pay attention as to why but there's been some forumers who's had no problems when using Value RAM.

ron4,
I *should* be receiving an iMac (Core 2 Duo) some time this week and will have its original RAM replaced with 2 x 1GB RAMs; hence am intending to use those 'spares' to boost up RAM on the MBP (Core 2 Duo) and MB (Core Duo). If you want the 100% assurance and peace of mind, and don't mind waiting, I'll keep you posted on what happens to both the MBP (Core 2 Duo) and the MB (Core Duo). |
