Guys and Girls..

Need your opinion.. my baby 3 weeks+ has been feeding on enfalac mix breast milk(very little around 10-20ml) - mum has little milk.

Lately these 1 week, he has been vomiting quite a lot each time after feeding (burping is done properly). He is on 3oz. And my wife suspected he is not used to enfalac which i highly doubt so as he was on it since birth.

So what do you guys think about it?

Ps: we are at confiment centre and the carer here are well trained.

Your first baby?
Actually, too much milk at one time will make him vomit also. Try avoid formula milk at first, give full breastfeed and see if mom milk will increase?

Mum milk definitely is not enough and not improving in anyway.

But could it be... Lactose intolerant after 2 weeks of consuming it?

please check and feedback here:

issit vomit or spit up?
Vomit is a lot coming, gushing out.
Spit up is just a little coming out, seeping thru the mouth.

enfalac A+ step 1? issit confirmed original? where u buy?
please buy from Tesco / Jusco / Aeon Big.
remember the recent fake formula issue?

for young babies, u need to burp more frequent.
i used to burp my boy every oz or 1.5 oz.
So if 3 oz, burp after 1.5oz, then another time after finish the milk.

Then try other brands of formula.

so if all else fails, maybe lactose intolerant.
there are milks for this as well. Enfalac A+ Lacto free

It is gushing out. Therefore, we already change to Frisolac Comfort and he is ok with it.

Thanks for the headsup. It is definitely genuine.

i asked this question at other thread before...wanna ask here to you as well.

Why use Japanese imported milk?
I see many people use formula from Japanese, Australian etc2.

I just wanna know, issit better?
Based on what i found out last time, ingredients wise and nutrient wise, our Malaysian/Singaporean milk are same par and some even better.

The only difference is the price. Of course u pay more for imported products.

So what issit about Japanese milk? safety?

I think too much. Baby did not drink much. They drink frequently. If you ask your parents, they will keep nagging baby did not drink enough. Ask experience Pedia, they will tell you 3Oz is too much for a month old baby. Last time, my daughter at 6 months only 4 to 5 Oz. And you already give 3 Oz at 3+weeks

I do not know about nutrients. I know baby got their own taste, some milk suitable for one baby, but not the others. In fact, I used Enfolac before, and my baby do not like it. Change to Morinaga and she is fine until she is 1 year old. She do not want to drink and now change to S26 Gold.

I got 0 knowledge on nutrients, as long as my baby want to drink, I got no problem.

I did not change to only S26, I change from Enfolac to Morinaga to S26 Gold. In between take some sample from friends tried. You buy until you pokai if baby did not want to drink.

Edited: borrow >> take some sample

so basically u choose based on:
1) taste suitability
2) suitability with baby (no negative reactions)
3) then price

according to this order above?

i would suggest u do this instead (just suggestion)

1) check reliability / trusted brand
2) Check ingredients / nutrient
3) When u have narrowed down to a few trusted brand with good nutrients, then start sampling if baby likes the taste
4) suitable with baby with no adverse reactions.
5) Price.

I did not choose based on what you summarize.

And to answer your kind suggestion, no. I am not interested in the nutrients. Cause I am still alive and kicking. Maybe not smart enough to be next Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, but I never trust the overload of man-made self proclaim nutrients. Price never my concern. I believe in taking balance diet pregnancy and now, my baby already start eating food. And the key is still balance diet.

balanced diet is for nutrients.

as the diet for nb babies are milk, so a balanced milk diet is important for them.

how can we judge milk balanced or not?
just enough nutrients. the right amount of vitamins, etc etc.

the key is balance diet.

i cannot comprehend why you say you are interested in balanced diet but not interested in nutrients.
a balanced diet should have the correct amount of nutrients.

As for me, amount and balance of nutrients close to that of breast milk.

Maybe milk is not the problem. If your baby is not ok with the milk, he would've had diarrhea as well. Have you tried using anti-colic bottle?
