How can I boot my PC , I have downloaded the iso bootable fr Windows 10 recovery tool into my external hard drive connected to my apple. The HD’s was formatted using exfat for compatible with apple osx. When plug into pc, it still cannot boot up the windows. Anything I missed out or doing something wrong here. My mistake for not making a bootable disc. Now I have nothing to boot up the window software. Earlier I was editing the program path fr c drive to d drive. Seem like I messed up the file path in regedit.

You can use the freeware UNetbootin to make a bootable usb flash drive from Windows 10 recovery ISO image. But it doesn't seem to support external hard drive.

No need to burn to a DVD-R anymore. Windows 10 is no longer using traditional DVD-R to boot into their bootable installation.

Use "Rufus" and your empty USB pendrive, this is the only best tool and works for all PC so far. If still can't, make sure you have to go into BIOS, switch from Legacy to EFI.

Where do you download to Windows ISO?
You can download the latest Windows 10 v1709 from here
