so guys, i just got the J7 pro around 2 -3 months ago, but few days ago i notice the purple smudge out of nowhere. I've taken good care of the phone as its still pretty new( never dropped or anything). Anyone know what would cause this and if this is covered by warranty? (the purple smudge has been spreading a little by little these past few days)

It might be a defected unit, pretty sure that warranty will cover that. Like you said, you didn't dropped it or anything and this problem surface on itself.

Maybe the OLED was burnt , due to extensive usage like gaming non-stop + high brightness level, no ?

I keep my brightness pretty low, I do play mobile games like Fate Grand Order but I don't play it extensively

You are not alone. Seems the purple smudges are common on most Samsung smartphone AMOLED display.

Try this keywords on Google search bar : purple smudges on screen .

P. S : Yet Samsung user still proud with their AMOLED display 😛. I'm not directing to you TS, so no offence please.

None taken, just sad lmao not even 3 months yet and this happen, I went to Samsung service center at 1u and they told me it's impact damage and "probably"not covered by warranty, if repair around 4xx 😓, if I had dropped it before I'd understand, but never drop before also this happen.... Haiz

If u never drop it, never found any dent or scratches, u definately can claim it as IW
