Although I have previously called Hotlink to ask, I am still not so sure about this. It's regarding the internet data usage for this Hotlink Fast.

I'm now subscribed to Hotlink Fast (Monthly Pass) but find the Free 30GB Happy Hour to be quite useless in the sense users can only use 1GB for 1 hour only, and this too is only available at selected period, if I'm not mistaken 8.00am to 7.00pm.

My understanding is the Monthly Pass comes with 2GB. If this 2GB is used up, the data will revert to Basic Internet Data speed. Is my understanding correct? The user can still access the internet but the data speed will be very slow, almost unusable.

Just recently I noticed there is this "Social Pass" or something as I got an SMS saying that my Social Chat pass has expired and asked me to purchase a new pass. Not too sure what is that.

Instead of giving 2GB Monthly Pass + 30GB Happy Hour (limited to 1 hour per session at selected periods), why can't Hotlink offer 32GB Monthly Pass and just scrap the Happy Hour which I personally feel is not very useful. Any thoughts?

Currently this Hotlink Fast is now Hotlink Slow as I suspect by 2GB is completely used up, and since the Happy Hour is only limited to 1 hour per day, the internet speed is now on the Basic Internet speed which is extremely slow for certain sites. Some websites are still running with acceptable speed but few websites take up to 3 minutes to load. For example, in one site, I was getting these results for about 3+ minutes before the site managed to load the content.

I was just wondering, is there another plan from Hotlink with better data options? Personally I don't quite like the concept of this Happy Hour. They should have just included the (free) 30GB data of the Happy Hour into the main 2GB data.

Okay thanks for the snapshot. Will study about these Hotlink RED PASS later though I noticed all the plans also come with Free 30GB Happy Hour which I want to avoid.

Say instead of 2GB + 30GB Happy Hour, why not give 32GB.
Instead of 5GB + 30GB Happy Hour, why not give 35GB.

I have another Digi line on another phone which is on cold storage for quite a while (1 year validity). Perhaps I'll just go and check what's the data options and switch the SIM card into my main phone (since the phone is a dual-SIM).

Hotlink wants you to pay more to continuously using its high speed internet.
The Free 30GB Happy Hour is the carrot hanging in front of you.

Yes, that's the plan or tactic. 1GB for Happy Hour is only applicable for 1 hour and not the whole day, so the user will not be able to use high-speed internet during any other hour of the day if the 1GB is already claimed. In other words, the user will not have access to high-speed internet throughout the whole day and only has a limit of 1 hour for the entire day only which is not useful. People will usually be connected throughout the whole day, not 1 hour through the day so in this sense the Happy Hour which is limited to 1 hour is not useful if the person intends to use the internet throughout the day.

That's surely a small carrot hanging in front but I ain't biting it. Instead of getting more money from additional subscription, they may just lose more customers for this Hotlink Fast if other Telcos offer better plans which are spread out through the day instead of this 1-hour limited Free data. Got cheated when I switched to this Hotlink Fast earlier last year as I am not aware that this free data is actually limited to 1 hour per day only. If i had known earlier I wouldn't have switched.
