Hi, I would like to get your recommendations on reliable and reasonable pricing contractors. My apartment is in KL and I would like to have the contractor lookign a bit at the piping and laying new tiles for the house. Thank you for your advice and recommendations. |

Usually for new apartments, some contractors already have their notes/cards sticking all over for reno work, get all of them in and get a quotation.
For renovation, we get to keep part of the payment first, and release part of it to the contractor first. Wait til all job is completed and it is up to our satisfaction, then only release it to them. Of course, what we get in the end is what we pay for. |

Thanks for the info guys. My apartment is rather old. Surprisingly the guard house does not have any good contacts for reliable contractors. That's why I am asking for opinions from the forumers to see if they have come across good ones. |

I've renovated 2 places and compared few contractors.
It's actually quite subjective and difficult to compare them, because not apple to apple (different materials, design, style, etc.) The best is find one based near your reno site, so convenient for u and them to renovate your place. In the end, it's not the price, it's also the service. Get those that have positive attitudes (not those TIDAK APA kind) and are proactive (not blur, make oops mistakes) |
