I noticed the last thread about teething was quite some time ago. around 4 years back.

Want to start a new thread about teething.

Just hoping anyone here can share info about teething, those info that google cant help with.
Perhaps personal experience or some stories etc.

Symptoms :

Drooling
Swollen, bulging gums
A tooth visible below the gum
Irritability
Trouble sleeping
Trying to bite, chew, and suck on everything
Rubbing face
Rejecting food
Grabbing ears

Remedies:

Cold - a cold teether or cold food, wet cold cloth
Pressure - teether, or clean cloth
Topical medication - cream and gel
Painkillers - at doctor's recommended dosage

My son is 6 months old, and have been having the symptoms, especially the one where he puts everything in his mouth.
Not to forget the excessive drooling.
My concern : Yesterday he was having a rusk, and i noticed some blood on the rusk. Is this normal? issit a sign of teething? Should i stop giving him food and treat this bleeding as a cut and use some topical medication of some sort?

Thanks.

omigosh...poor baby!

My daughter just passed her first 2 teeth. She cried like a champ. hahah!

What i did was, I put her teether in the freezer and gave her the frozen teether. She calmed almost immediately.
Maybe you can try it on your next baby heheh. It's the swollen that makes babies go cray cray. Once the first tooth pops, the crying lessens abit.

I put the teether in the freezer sweat.gif
Both my babies liked it really cold.

At first I just put like a bunch of teether and pacifier in the fridge.
But i noticed that chilled teether was not enough.
They dont stay cold for too long and my babies cried when the temp was back to normal.
I just tried my luck. Put them in the freezer and voila!!

But this was only for the first tooth. After that, I dont have to freeze them. Chilling will do. smile.gif
