Help guys, need advise here..

Recently, I've apply for Guest Services Assistant position in Genting, and today I get the reply from HR asking me to go for interview on this saturday. But the problem is that, the interview location is in Resort Hotel, Genting, and I'm staying far up North...

Now I'm having dilemma on this,

1)How am I supposed to go for the interview or should I go for that..? (I remember they used to have the requirement drive around the country)

2)Even though, they said in the reply that we can ask for other date/appointment BUT will this cause them to have some bad impression on me?

3)If I decide not to attend the interview now, Will they Blacklist my name for the future application?

Normally you are required to bring your Certificate (original/photocopy), IC (original/ photocopy) and passport size photos.

While for the dress, no need to wear a coat, Just wear Formal attire and bring a tie just in case..

If girl, then no need to wear tie... Just wear appropriate office wear.

Yup, interview succes. btw, what position are you applying?

ouch, I prefer the management trainee position as well, But looks like, its already over, can't find it in jobstreet.

Because my main purpose is to learn more thing and hopefully get promoted.. And from my point of view, MT offer the best promotion chance and we can learn more in MT.

The salary... erm.... ok ba, consider me, no experience and fresh graduate..

They will have 2 intake, on 9june and 16june. So mine should be on 16june

yawn.... the date change to 23june... Not sure can change the ticket date or not, if cannot... Waste rm35, throw into dustbin....

With your qualification, I believe you can find better job somewhere else.. The salary offer by genting are really unattractive..

The job is already confirm. And Next week suppose to report in, but now they change to 23june...
I'm seriously reconsidering the job now...

1)salary is... ahem.. ahem... hope you know what I mean..
2)I don't really like how they postpone the date, Genting is not located in the middle of the city. Its located ontop of a mountain and the way they asking people going for interview and postpone the thing are like so easy... We need time to plan all these, furthermore now is holiday season. they think so easy to get transport.. And not everyone stays in KL which just 1-2hour away...They should think about the candidate...

No wander so many people left genting after just a short while..

But I think the main reason behind this postpone is because of the current holiday season. Of course you don't want some newbie making up problem during this period right?

The new date they give me is on 23rd, so thats mean the holiday is already over, and its easier for them to train us... sigh..

I didn't get the MT position, I can't find it on Jobstreet.. The current position that I get is GSA...

Just don't be nervous, what they want is the real person. Most of the time, when we nervous, we will make lots of mistake and become "fake".. And for you position, maybe its better to wear coat, management ma...

If you can't find any coat, then just wear proper office wear lo. Not really compulsory to wear coat, but of course it will looks better.

Can't change the ticket.... btw, I'm not really confirm yet, still 10more days.. I got few other offer, but its even far away....

This is for what position? and the qualification needed is?

Degree......... So 1.8k is the basic or after allowance etc?

oh, ok sure...

I have learn a lesson, Cannot decide too early, have to be last minute... Malaysian style.. Or else later they change/cancel again...

@geminigal19 well, guess I'm going to genting after all.... Get another job offer today, but the offer once again come too late....sigh..
