Frankly speaking, everything is depends on yourself.
Understand that there would be a lot of humors like this outside...
but think about it, if you would not let yourself do it, you wont lost it...

Are you sure a coupier is a professionally job?
Work seriously and professional is difference means. >.<
*
Will croupier be a professional job will depends on how you defind your PROFESSIONAL.
Croupier is a professional job in Casino Industry. Although they do not need any special qualifications or certificates, but what they will learn in Casino, Gaming and handling customers will more that what we had learn in Colleges.

Dun think that croupier is a simple job. They need to have certain level of their mathematics, good in calculations. If not, they unable to go into this career. Besides that, the gaming skills that they had learned is not easily can be learned outside.

If you think of go into casino line in future...this would be a great step that you can take.

Anyone has any idea how long is the finance trainee programme?
Does it have a contract attached to it?
*
As long as its a trainee program, there will be a bond.
Do you mean the ICAEW Finance Trainee program. After you complete the trainee program, you will get double degree. But of course, this will happen 3 years after you joined. And after you get the degree, you will be bonded for another 3 years for the degree.

I think its impossibble to ask for anothere interview session. Try to apply again...There will be another session open.

still 1 thing not clear...
lets say you went to the HR on wednesday 3 Nov, how long do you have to wait to get confirmation for the job you apply? Maybe its job dependant, but normally how long?
*
Normally will takes around 2 weeks time...if lets say you had went to interview at 3Nov, I sure that now you had get your ans and started to work ald.

Just to let you all know that the period of reply would be around 2 weeks time. Of course, it will depends. If you apply for Guest Service Assistant or club assistant, it will take longer time and you will need to come up for 2nd interview with department.

eGenting is a subsidiary of Genting Malaysia Berhad. They have an office at Genting Highlands. IT executive over there will depends on whether your customers is internal customers or external customers which means the outsiders.

Salary will be similar to all other execs on the mountain which means around RM2000+-. Benefits includes accomodation, meal signing, executive club ...etc.

Its a bit late i think i just reply now but just for you to know la...life in genting...cool....life in eGenting....enjoyable...

working there is one of the bad experience in my life...yep its true , that is very bored...accommodation worst than rumah kampung,
food expensive, 'chinaman' system, bunch of lamers as well...

whoever hav diploma or degree something...its better go sumwhere else for career...

i rmb when i wear formal attire for the interview , that HR officer is jealous and unhappy wit me...
while other candidates
wearing jeans, even slippers ...she got no issue with it...wat the hell... shocking.gif

basically even got UPSR only, they still hire you...if u got some 'kaki' in genting...
*
Currently I still get back into this forum and I saw this. Therefore I would like to make some clarification for these....

1. Bored is because as you already know you working on a mountain, therefore you must know how to entertain ueself....we cannot expect the company will provide entertainment to us...

2. Accommodation - for staff, normally will be around 4 pax per room. ur meaning of WORST THAN RUMAH KAMPUNG i think is because of the cleanliness. but FYI, cleanliness is not a part of company responsible. Company keep the building clean, the corridor clean but company cant keep ur room clean.

3. food expensive - will depends on you eat at where. As I know, food in basement canteen, RSC2 canteen, RSC 4 mamak, meeting points and others canteens also not bad and cheap. Chinaman system....no comment

4.for degree holders - good experience to work in genting. It will be a bit tough life over here, a lot challenges. ....but this company let you experience on things that you might not able to experience on if you working other places. So, CAN TRY!!

5. Formal while interview - I can see there was a post that say wearing need to suits ur job. For eg: if you apply for GSA, you wear formal la...is you apply croupier, then no need formal lo...so you cannot say that they cant wear jeans.

6. For the UPSR - as far as i know, there are no such thing happen at here and out lowest qualification will PMR & SPM for most of the job. (For cleaning personnel, I unable to confirm)

Actually you can provide feedback to HR at the period that you working.

TQ

Yes. What the manager told you are correct.

Male : 6 shirts & 3 pairs of pants (per week)
Female : 6 dresses or 6 skirts/blouses (per week)
Male/Female : 1 pc of Blanket+Pillow slip+Bedsheet (per month)

Note :

#1 The free laundry can be taken only 3-5 days after you hand in, this also depends on how busy laundry is. If you able to match up with their schedules, then it will be fine to you to use the free laundry service.

#2 Free laundry is not like located just next to your RSC, there is a certain walking distance if you need to hand in those clothes (not an issue if you need the service)

#3 There is a paid-laundry also (1st 5kg RM4.50), also few days can collect after you hand-in

Though, it's up to your plan. If you need to perform laundry yourself (which you can actually wash inside bathroom, then take to dry machine to dry up your clothes). If this is the case, you definitely need 20 cents COINS for that, better prepare cos 20 cents COINS it's like "Diamond" there.

Singing card (also your ID Card)... Executive level and above is fixed with RM980 monthly (approx. RM30/day), no carry forward to next month. There is another card, which is called "White Card" with RM40 monthly (No carry forward to next month too). This "White Card" can be used only at RSC's canteens or at 15th Floor (you will know where) to purchase your groceries/toiletries. Things sell at 15th is slightly expensive than Watson (First World Hotel Lobby there). Foods sell at RSC's canteen are quite cheap (compare to outside)... although RM40 looks very little (it is indeed), but at least you don't need to spend too much there.

Summary of the above :
* White Card - Can only be signed at RSC's canteens/15th Floor's Grocery Shop
* Signing Card - Can only be signed at Genting's F&B Outlets (not like KFC, McD etc.) ## Subject to the availability of the outlets, they have the rights to refuse to let you sign (customers come first), mostly like Seasonal/Weekend period.
      First World Plaza
Hou Mei Restaurant, HaiNan Restaurant, First World Lobby Cafe (Cakes there is tasty)
      Genting Hotel
The Bakery (recommends their signature sandwish), Coffee Terrace (Buffet), Good Friend Restaurant (Chinese Non-Halal), Good Friend Express, Pizza Factory, Lao Di Fang
      Theme Park Hotel
      Happy Valley Restaurant
      Resort Hotel
      Resort Cafe, Kampong Restaurant
      RSC8 Cafeteria (Special case)
      * Cakes and foods there are not bad too. End of month if your signing card still have monies left, can purchase foods like KitKat, Cornflakes, cookies, soft drinks from there, cos cannot carry forward.

P/S : Info given here perhaps more than what the manager told you. Oh ya, most of the info listed above will be conducted during the HR Orientation on 1st or 2nd day. HR will bring the whole batch at that day to walk around where the locations are, yet you should need to explore by yourself.
Since you were called by the Manager (I assumed), probably you are hired already, just need to wait for the Black & White things done.
Happy New Year and good luck in your 2010 new year.  smile.gif
