As i know, not every room has phone cable.
But mostly IT ppls' room will have as they need to support 24 hrs.
So, when their pager beep during midnite, they can call to the respective user to understand their problem.
If the problem can be solve thru phone, then they don need change cloth n go on-site.

I not sure is there any TMpoint/streamyx agent up there or not.
But take my advise, if you not plan to commit long term thr, don apply or else u wil suffer at the end.

Well..The question how is IT ppls work in genting quite subjective.
Some ppl might find it fun to work thr some might not.
Typically, most of the IT ppls will have to support 24 x 7 with carry a pager.
User will call you even midnite if they face problem.

For IT at genting highland, there is no development team which develop application.
But there do has application support teams like Casino application support team and Hotel team.
