There will be a lot of positions available for fox theme park now, and many more in the near future. Oh, please dont lose hope yet cuz we definitely need a lot more executives.
And, when you apply for technical positions for fox theme park, please be very prepared for a lot of technical questions. By technical, i meant very technical like please draw and explain the refrigeration cycle biggrin.gif. salary is definitely above market rate.

Hi all, I m going to have my internship program under engineering department in Genting Highlands in this coming July. Anyone have any experience about it? is there any sport facilities such as gym that can be utilised by the internship trainee? thanks!
*
For intern, it will be the best experience if you are joining engineering. They have a lot of mechanical systems that is good for your learning. Boilers, Air cooled and water cooled chillers, cooling towers, heat pumps, sewage etc2.

Salary, food, accommodation, gym, staff stadium, swimming pool, will all be provided. Enjoy and have fun learning!

Hi , considering an offer GH IT based on the resort.
Anyone working and staying there  currently ?

How is the quality of staff quarters?for single.
Car parking allocated ?
Things that I am aware and it's updated every where is No work life balance !
*
for IT, you will be working 6days/week or 24days work, 4 days off. and most likely will need to standby with pager as well.

the new staff quarters will be 1unit/person. others may need to share. size honestly not so big but still ok since it is free.
there are car parks allocated for staff, and can park at customer area too (off peak season).

if you are fresh, it will be very good learning platform. and you can save a lot of money too. food expenses will be covered with meal card, free room, laundry etc.

Do u know commis working hours from what time until what time?.got night shift?..and total salary including ot can reach rm2k or not?.

I want to apply commis jobs.but seems like so few info about f&b..food allowances on the other hand provided also for commis?.

Tq for ur info. Luckily got forumer here working at genting.
*
sorry cant help much as I have no idea on F&B and casino. However, I am very sure for casino they will operate 24/7, 365 days. thus night shift will be necessary.

Generally speaking, only exec level (degree holders) will get meal card.
All other staffs will still enjoy room/transport allowance.

hello all,

would like to know what is the working condition like up there?
1)Food
2)colleagues
3)activity after work
4)benefits

background:
got a call from a headhunter for a managerial position in their corporate department but have to relocate to GH.
*
1) Food
- for executive/above level, you will get rm1k/month for meal card which you can use on multiple outlets up there. If you are AVP/VP level, then you have more exclusive outlets that you can sign with the meal card.

2) colleagues
- totally depends on which department.

3) activity after work
- Benefits for executives will include access to free gyms, lounge with pool tables, karaoke, swimming pool, stadium. enjoy after work hours with friends I guess. Up here also have cinema (need to pay) if you like movies.

4) benefits
- other than the above, you will also get free skyway ride, free hostel room (can convert to transport allowance if you stay down the hill). Yearly bonus is all right (will vary every year). From time to time, there will be special discounts for staff on those outlets in GH mall. Once there was massive NIKE sales where I get over 70% discount woots. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi, i only just found this thread and quite busy preparing for  upcoming job interviews and i don't really have the time to read throught 55 pages of this thread. Could you or anyone working there in genting please be kind enough to provide be with answer for 2 questions i need to know the answer?

1. Is it possible to get a personal room up there in genting for new staffs or will they put you in hostel type of room where there will be 2 or more people in a room? Don't mind paying money to get own room.
2. How is the crime rate up there now? Bcs from the first few pages i see many say crime is normal up there but those comments were from 2007. So i am hoping there is improvements???
*
Hi
1- new rsc9 will be personal room. The old hostel rooms are shared. Most likely you will get the new rsc9 tho.
2- No idea

Wow this is great if can get personal room. Will there be toilet in the room too? So confirm they won't put new recruits in the old hostel??? If true won't the old staff that been working at genting for years get angry they have to stay in old hostel but new staff get to stay in the new hostel???

If i have to stay in hostel in sharing room i won't be going for the interview.
*
cant confirm since I dont really stay up there, but i guess you can check with HR during the interview?. most of the executives are transferred last year to the new rsc already.

I don't mind the work. I just need a proper place to rest well. If genting can't offer me a personal room is there any decent small apartment walking distance to genting  i can rent and about how much would it cost.
*
if walking distance, there is apartment but most likely the cost is pretty high. Most of the staff (who stay outside of hostel) actually stay at Batang kali and travel up daily. They travel to the skyway station and take free skyway ride to top.

i went for an interview there recently, the HR never told me anything about travel allowances  confused.gif ......only a meal card 1k per month, the accommodation is a single small room with basic furniture, but i never got the chance to see for myself.
but bear in mind that the pay and bonus is a lot lower compare to Klang Valley market, they will low-balled from your last drawn salary, reason being i guess is it's a chinaman company and accommodation and food it provided.
*
travel allowance is around 300 for exec level if u give up your hostel room. mind you that meal card rm1k cant be converted to cash. Use it for meal within the month, and the card will be reloaded at the 1st day of month (cant carry forward any leftover). Hostel room provided is small about 120-150sqft for single person (RSC9). Salary and bonus is competitive, and you may be able to save up cash up there (0 cost for food and accommodation).
