working in genting sucks big time. unless you have no problem working in shifts and eating the same thing over and over again....the working environment depends on what position and your job. if you are working in casino as a croupier, then try and get monte carlo casino... it's smoke free..

btw, for food, you won't have any problem. got alot of nice food at a very cheap price...

accountants... depends on which department you are in. hotel? casino? some need you to work according to shifts. mostly 9-5.
otherwise... it's still the same... but if you are a executive, you'll be entitled to 1k meal allowance to be used at various outlets owned by Genting.

management trainees for which department? casino? or the accounting dept?
not so sure of the accounting dept, cause i believe they have different offices in the highland and also at wisma genting.
of course there will be interview, but Genting's interview isnt that hard at all... i got a job as a technical support for the casino, kind of easy to get tru the interview process.
probation period for genting staffs is 6 months.

fyi, depends on your dept, some dept won't have opening for promotion for years.... so do keep that in mind..

what i can say is, prepare to be urself, be honest and that's all  ^^

well, working there will be kinda good experience, colleagues are all very good and helping a lot..
normally in interview, i suppose they will focus on determine whether you keen to work for them or not. Of cos, They do stress on ur English level as English will be the bridge of communication in WG. Well, i can tell you that definitely they will test you something regarding your study. He is kinda happy working in that environment, not much of issue happen.. U r welcome

Basically I applied two positions with genting (Public Relations Exec & Media Relationship Exec) last week and two days ago, HR called me n arrange interview session on Tomorrow (25/01/2013). During the phone conversation, they told me about the time of interview (930am) and say will email me the further interview details. But until now, I haven't receive any emails from them. So want to ask everyone here, should I proceed to the interview Tomorrow? Because I not sure about either the interview venue is at Uphill or Wisma Genting also. I wonder izit they forgot to send me the details or they suddenly dumb my application out after they made the call to me?

Yes u can apply for IT Exec in genting,not necessary need to have experience,just apply through job portal. For IT Trainee do refer HR for more information,genting do provide IT Trainee.. 

but to be frank, if only bcos u like the weather and environment here,u ll regret for sure.. U have to love the job in order to survive here.. U ll understand when u r here,good luck

Working as a temporary worker is far different frm a permanent to be frank.. Im not sure working in genting can really save u money,as i spend quite lot here too,haha.. bt compare to KL, they pay u very low only and u r expected to wrk more that what they pay u..

If u keen to get AM or promoted easily, IT definitely not ur choice,trust me..  go for MT (4years now) and u ll get ur AM, if u join IT, i can tell u 4yrs time also not guarantee u a senior exec lagi..  

GSA is another way( but no need degree also can apply lo) can earn u much more lo.. its different route to choose..
