short answer is, it will.

Its about 50% slower than current 8700k, but honestly speaking. Just give it a go, bottlenecking surely do exist, but most often overrated. Even bottlenecked, theres no harm having a good GPU and the bottleneck effect is mostly only felt in CPU intensive areas.

Plus, you can always keep your GPU for future incase you got yourself a new rig.

*edit, grammar error

Recently upgraded my i5-2400 with a GTX1050 Ti, and it runs great.

Maybe you don't need the fastest GPU, so try a GTX1060 or something ...

Wait till you pair high end processor like Ryzen 7 1800X with GTX 1080 Ti.

Yes it's still fast but man it sure under-performs like silly.

Forget it. There's no way to actually calculate a bottleneck.

It varies from software to software, the choice of graphic detail and resolution also will wider or narrow the gap.

i do have a couple of 1080ti, even on my heavily overclocked 8700k its still a beast. I think the 1080ti is a beast vs past few gens.

Never in previous gens that the corresponding CPU bottlenecks this bad. And honestly, i dont see any reason of buying it unless you are gaming at 1440 above or using it for mining haha.

And now with the Titan XP pascal.... hmm...

Got. 1080P and super duper kau kau framerate that you never have to worry.

Yes it will.

my i5-4670K also bottleneck 1070 a bit, will only work fine after I OC.

GTX 1080 also, Core i5 models (i3 8th gen) on OC also somewhat bottlenecks 1080.

I don't think you should worry about it though.

If you got the funds, just buy the card first and run some benchmarks and see how much it's behind.

Usually gaming time you won't feel the bottleneck.

haha gonna repeat this again.... I have same situation and same CPU as yours.

By looking at the website calculated result, we need GTX 1070 the max.

your friend still selling the second hand? Can sell me one? ahha... I am looking for GTX 1070 second with *reasonable* price.
