No, it's by different author and older than Initial-D. Maybe it was the style back then? Sometimes I have a hard time differentiate Reina Akikawa and Eriko Asakura when reading the manga scans, they look similar in a way.

Ya, agree

I dont think its the style back then , just the author is a car freak , dont know how to draw "human"

Still ongoing...currently til episode 8 if I'm not mistaken. No decent fansub but at least better than Tokyo Majin Kenpuchou: Tou Kenbu Hen.

I still think initial D is better.... the drawings are too similar for the characters

Can't really compare cos both series are different although some fanboys tend to compare them.
I guess those car freak mangaka have same drawing style - dont know how to draw "human" laugh.gif

for me it doesn't really matter coz they're different. one is about racing on the highlands and the other is about racing on the highways.

We can only wait for the time being as it's not a popular anime series and the fansub is slow. You can read the manga, I only watch the anime for action and cars! What info are you looking for?

Considering that this was earlier than Initial D (by 1.5 years) it's amazing that this was virtually unknown other than the game that it helped created. Maybe road racing is just not a Jap thing.

hey guys, I know this kinda breaking the forum law but, could anyone be really kind to tell me where could I get the torrent? possibly via PM to be on the safe side.. notworthy.gif

thanks guys. biggrin.gif

talking about the Devil Z, the stock 240Z isn't originally come equipped with L28 engine as the L28 engine is only for the 280Z; the bigger brother of 240Z and 260Z. This L28 engine also had another variant besides NA version. A turbocharged L28. My fren owns one. But not in 240Z chassis though, still in the tough 280Z chassis, still going strong. biggrin.gif

Slow fansub, I think currently only on episode 6 by HG-F. I guess you can get everything bout Wangan Midnight from Wangan Midnight Expressway.
