No issues in lost gps and signal

Phone GPS very smooth, but battery life sucks.

When doing grab, battery level drops by 1% every 1-2 minutes. Even when plugged into power bank battery level still drops. Forced me to go home early

That isn't a battery life issue, it's often the voltage from your power source is insufficient. For me I changed the adaptor I use for my car power source, or your power bank. Look into it.

google maps or waze better? I experience high battery drain using waze compare to google maps

Not with Uber app. If waze, yes. Late when locking gps.

I'm using Google.. too lazy to install waze..eat more space summore..

Sadly to say..i suspect your GPS chip fried..use any kind of GPS apps to recalibrate it..if same..the chip is dead..

GPS easily gone crazy & frequently lost connection

Very unreliable... When Uber ulu places, the frequent lost of connections will force me to restart my phone. Sometimes I don't know when I will lost connection until Waze no longer gives directions. When I'm not on Waze and hunting destination trips, it's a lost cause becoz there's no sign it loses connections... Lost of time and income...

Use unifi mobile only as a secondary number...

Looks like my hunt for cheaper telco package will continue...

Change your sim..either use xpax or hotlink first..digi not recommend..if problem still persists..then change the phone..

zenfone 2 anyone use? my J1 ace gps bengong already

im still using my old n only samseng s5 stock of coz..
using maxis..
tried connecting using lte/4g only then waze goes haywire..
finally selected 'auto' then waze goes silky.
no more 'waiting for network' or 'searching for gps' error.
any android users are welcome to PM me for tips.

I suggest you try Motorola models (G5 Plus, etc.)

I had same problem (GPS gone crazy) using Redmi 2.

Now, no problem with my Moto X2.

Grab / Mi A2 Lite / U Mobile / Waze

Always show "No GPS, waiting ..." whenever I am in Sunway Pyramid / Mentari area.

Tried switch to Google Maps, working but map always took route / roads that is block.

** 4000mAh battery on Mi A2 lite can last me for 6 hours of screen-on time.

When I got issue called to CS they ask what is the phone model, I answered none of them know about it.

For those who have issues with your gps, you need to verify it urself by trying out this method in order to know what caused the problem.

1st,
Try change different ur telco from your current telco you are using right now.
Example; change from u mobile to maxis or digi. You can just borrow ir friend's sim card and straight away test drive using waze or gmaps. Don't forget to turn on ur data. Check if problem is solved by using different telco.

2nd,
Check your smartphone's network spec. Make sure your phone's bandwith supports your network/telco provider. For example, certain smartphones doesn't support certain network. Especially imported phones. If so, then you have no choice but to upgrade or change your phone.

3rd,
There are certain smartphone gps degrades when it's updated. Example android update from marshmallow to lollipop. You can try google it out for any reported case regarding gps issues after updating the OS. If possible, you can try downgrading your android yourself or sending it to someone you can rely or even a servise shop.

You can also test your gps by simple turn on both gps and data, search for a location you would like to test (at least 10km) when it's locked, start driving, if your gps looses signal, turn off your data & check if the gps could lock afterwards or still loose its signal.

Hope this could help you guys out a little.

Is anyone using U Mobile P99 for Waze in KL / PJ area ? Any problems ?

I am using U Mobile Giler 30 (unlimited mobile data).
So far, no problem for me.

I use a samsung J series. Cheaper phone. Coz since i use the car charger so often when do grab, the battery spoil easily.

confirm can easily last 8 continuous hours

Im use my zenfone max pro m2 with 5k mah capacity, it work good and standing over 8hrs on grab app

any iphone user here? Do your grab map always on auto zoom mode? I use Oppo before and switch to apple, the Map always auto zoom mode and difficult to see the heat map in zoom in mode...how to disable the auto zoom? any idea?
