Can't, just tried it. Once the recovery firmware is transferred to the router, it will automatically reboot.

Cannot restore any of the UniFi firmwares.
It will restore the AU v1.1.1 Build 20170706 rel.65715 and Beta firmwares.

Reverting to the Beta firmware. The latest v1.1.3 Build 20180124 rel.52299 firmware is terrible for me. Keeps rebooting.

Sigh, I just sent email to TP-Link support again asking on how to revert back to Malaysia firmware from EU firmware.

Let see if TP-Link will reply to me. Don't put too much hope.....

Next time if my C1200 give me problem / breakdown and over warranty period, i sure get DIR-850L as replacement. smile.gif

me too will do the same

I believe dlink 850L will do better than c1200 after my manual custom setting

Beta firmware got rebooting issue or not, if no issue i will upgrade to this and forget about getting new router.

**Ps. just restore to beta "Build 20180101 rel.66049(Beta)" firmware, CPU load very high at 45~95!

Still monitoring but from the short duration when I was using it previously, I feel it reboots less frequently than the latest EU firmware.

Also, I'd consider the output of the CPU monitor with a grain of salt.
The more you refresh it, the higher the CPU usage displayed will be which is absurd when you know the router is not doing anything apart from being refreshed.

Latest EU firmware i felt it's just a gimmick or decoy to make the CPU % load lower and they throttle the CPU router processing.

I said Beta EU firmware is better. I want to try the latest Unifi firmware

** Ps. at Lazada, review for Asus RT-N12HP is way better then D-Link DIR-850L, most of the good comment is stability, i think is better to get Asus after all.

I'm using a few RT-N12HP in AP mode (not for myself but for tenants)
don't forget to flash it to the latest firmware
the latest FW is dated 30/11/17
oldest FW is way back, 12/01/15

just goes to show how awesome ASUS is unlike TPLINK who simply release a new hardware revision or permanent beta, buggy firmware laugh.gif

at my office we are still using an ASUS RT-N12 D1, and ASUS released a new firmware for it as well back in November last year!
to give you an idea how old this model is, the oldest FW you can download is dated 27/09/13 !

Mine are all B1, bought in Malaysia.. IIRC I have like 5 of them? deployed across 4 floors of a building
I recall the box not stating 'B1 version' but on the router itself showing 'B1' at the back.

BTW AFAIK the main difference between B1 and non B1 version is dual WAN mode. B1 has it, the normal one doesn't.
Even the old ASUS RT-N12 D1 has dual WAN mode btw.

ha ha, this router is priced below RM200. why you choose it?

is it cost? functionality/features? brand? stability? aesthetic? Range coverage? speed?

any other models you have in mind?
