QUOTE(Slekerz @ Jul 26 2018, 11:51 PM) Update my router to beta EU firmware after reboot can't online internet, already make report to unifi regarding this, tomorrow technician will come, can i get new router or have to pay for new one? -.- didn't you read the warning? After update, everything will reset to factory default. You will need to reconfigure it. Start with setting up VLAN tagging.

QUOTE(Kanuki @ Jul 27 2018, 02:16 PM) Done it. Should I enable 'TX beam forming' ? btw.. It can't get the internet from the main router using Wireless Bridging for NTP right? Yes. Must enable beamforming. Other manufacturers with 802.11ac enable beamforming by default in their firmwares. I have no idea why tplink disable it by default. Nope, can't get NTP from the main router WAN.

Hmm, recently encountered this Chinese site. https://cyhour.com/750/(Use google translate) Apparently, that router has exactly the same silicon hardware as TPLINK C1200 V1 EU. Not sure if that custom K2P_Merlin firmware might work with C1200. Any professional guinea pig with TTL cable wanna test?

QUOTE(vicren @ Aug 22 2018, 02:47 PM) manage to figure out, chrome > developer tools > enable WDS Make sure you go to systemparameter section and check 5ghz TxBF beamforming box after enabling hidden WDS. QUOTE(torino @ Aug 22 2018, 02:48 PM) Does anyone know how to flash AC1200 back to tm version? I accidentally flash it to non tm version demmit... If you flashed EU version, there is no going back. You don't really lose much other than getting fewer 5ghz channels.

QUOTE(MrSpeedy @ Aug 23 2018, 11:26 AM) Wah Merlin firmware on C1200?! Dream do come true. But then again not everyone know how to sideload via hardware TTL method. Guess until someone can managed to hack the upgrade files then mostly people willing to test it. Maybe @Alpha_Wolf willing to do it. He offer debricking router service. Summoning Alpha_Wolf. Let see if the summoning works.....

QUOTE(Aspick @ Aug 30 2018, 08:46 PM) Can you teach me how to have the wds bridging function? I want to bridge tplink c1200 to my main router asus rt-ac66u But the feedback from few users said only EU firmware has hidden WDS functionality. If you are using Malaysian firmware, you are outta luck.

QUOTE(Aspick @ Aug 30 2018, 09:47 PM) My c1200 v1 already flashed to EU firmware earlier this year and was using it for sometime with much less reboot. Recently i got hold of an asus rt ac66u to be used as my main router on ground floor, so instead of putting the c1200 into the store room I thought might as well make use of it to provide better wifi signal on first floor using the wds function. I googled that both routers use broadcom chips so wds should work. ....sigh...CTRL + F to search Here is video wds.mkv

QUOTE(prokiller1199 @ Sep 3 2018, 05:07 PM) Should I use 2.4ghz or 5ghz for the wds? Stick with 5Ghz if the signal is strong enough. After all = 867Mbps (AC) vs 300Mbps (N), not that hard to make a choice.

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Sep 21 2018, 01:13 AM) i can't remember which firmware i updated, it's only stated 1.1.1 Build 20170706 rel.65715 (EU). how long does a firmware update take? i tried a few firmware all like not moving the status. i'm using it for 5g_wds but even though it stated no internet, but i can use the wireless without issue. The latest stable version of EU firmware is 1.1.3 Build 20180124 rel.52299 (EU). Firmware update normally takes 5 minutes total. For the WDS part, TP-Link web interface will display 'no internet' status, however the wireless repeater function work just fine with client device at receiving end can online normally. Note, NTP also doesn't work in WDS mode. Can't do much due to incomplete WDS functionality. It is 'hidden' for a reason.

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Sep 21 2018, 11:26 AM) should i update to the latest stable version or just stick to my old version? where should i download it? can't remember where i download it previously. https://static.tp-link.com/2018/201801/2018...)_V1_180124.zipChangelog since your 1.1.1 Build 20170706 rel.65715 (EU): QUOTE Modifications and Bug Fixes: 1. Optimize the solution to solve the wireless issue caused by Android devices' unreasonable behavior. 2. Add AP mode for this device. 3. Enhance the performance and stability of PPTP VPN. Update lor.....less random restart issue, probably once every 3 weeks. Faster bootup as well.

QUOTE(CyanT @ Sep 23 2018, 10:07 PM) Guys, I have a C1200 v1.0 with TIME connection. Every once in a while (sometimes once a few days, sometimes once a few hours), the router would seem to be unresponsive, WiFi and LAN will show to have no internet connection, and neither the wired PC or WiFi connected phone can access the router interface. It will only recover when the router is powered off and on. I have searched from Google, and some have suggested to disable 5Ghz WiFi, and some have suggested to disable ipv6. I have done both but it seems like these solutions are temporary, the issue will come back after a few days/weeks. The firmware is 1.0.0 Build 20180502 rel.45702 (EU). Does anyone of you have this experience before? Any solution? Thank you. Have you hard reset the router and reconfigure again? Pressing the reset button using pointy tool? Sometime the setting leftover from older firmware might produce unexpected issue.

QUOTE(beetch @ Sep 30 2018, 03:29 AM) Already done. Flashed the time modem to eu firmware and use inspect element to evoke the hidden wds page. Linked the router with my main rputer via 2.4ghz wds. Somehow this c1200 cannot detect my 5ghz main router set using 802.11ac mode only. Everything working fine now. Can get dhcp from main router. Just cannot wds using 5ghz unless i set my main to 802.11b/g/n/ac mode. Which i dont want cox i wan the main router to run full AC at 5ghz. -.- Did you set the main router 5ghz channel to 36 - 48? C1200 cannot detect other 5ghz channels. EU region limitation.

QUOTE(e654777 @ Oct 7 2018, 11:37 PM) I updated to the latest build, 20180502 for time broadband. Issue is, it keep connecting with new WAN ip address after every 10 to 15 mins. During the update, the firmware was stuck at 27% percent but after 15mins later, i manually restarted and reset the router. It is booted up and saw correct version stated below the page. Would i say it is completely upgraded? and Could this be the problem that is giving the reconnection of WAN? Currently, i have set it On-Demand and hope for the best. Pls advise. Thank you. Edward ......Were you using wireless or wired for upgrade process? QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Oct 7 2018, 11:44 PM) It is manually rebooting by itself now. Suggest you change to new better router or get a replacement from TIME. Eh....better suggest him to perform a reflash via TFTP method. Go to page number 8 of this thread.
