vibration when u accelerate, but if you release throttle pedal immediately will the vibration stops? if yes, high chance of drive-shaft failure, know someone driving polo sedan just replaced drive-shaft due to this reason. btw, i'm polo sedan owner as well...

same symptoms as mine

but mine only cheap proton

according to the mechanic

sound 'klak' 'klak' when turning especially u turn coming from outside drive shaft connected to tyre

car vibrate at certain speed is driveshaft inside

temporary solution : drive beyond that speed

Seems like engine mount problem, probably rear mount.

Engine mount problem is evident in excessive vibration when idling, not when moving. Besides, what does the engine mount care whether the car is accelerating or going up a slope?

When accelerating or going up a slope the engine is tilted slightly backwards, if the rear mount is broken the vibration will be worse.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if engine mounting, the vibration would be felt more when idling, right?

Polo and Sedan 1.6 got known engine mounting defects, but it's audible on rough road. Some owner have changed themselves outside to hydraulic mounting type.
TS having vibration on highway speed acceleration is a mystery.

Hi guys,

I am currently driving a 5 years old VW Polo Sedan.
Recently I have noticed that my car is vibrating quite badly when accelerating at high speed. For example when I am cruising on highway at 110 km/h, it is fine, but as soon as I accelerate to overtake, I will notice strong vibration that is coming from the front. It also vibrates when it is climbing a slope.
When I am cruising or accelerating at lower speed (less than 90 km/h), it is not noticeable.

I have checked my tyres, and they are all fine, no bumps. The tyres are also new, which have just been aligned and balance 3 months ago.

Any ideas what could be causing the issue?

Thank you.
