I have a feeling this is probably not coming to Malaysia until 2021 at least.

With VPCM's track record, the car may or may not reach our shores. Even if it does, my estimate is 1H2020.
Could arrive in full CBU form from Germany, hence the base 1.0tsi could go over 120k. |

Hello, it's 2020 now and still no sign of the new MK6 in India.
Probably need to sell off the Golf MK7 first before launching the Polo MK6 since the size is almost the same. |

QUOTE(BXB535 @ May 26 2020, 05:49 AM) Hello, it's 2020 now and still no sign of the new MK6 in India. VW got themselves screwed in India market and they will stuck with MK5 for many years ..Probably need to sell off the Golf MK7 first before launching the Polo MK6 since the size is almost the same. The problem with MK6 is that it is longer than 4meter, and by India policy, you will only get incentive for sub 4m vehicle.. thus there is no business case for MK6 in India.. According to source, VW might abandoned the MK6 all together in India, continue selling MK5 and wait until MK7.. There is only 3 choice for Msia, following India footstep and sell MK5 forever, or bringing in the European spec but everyone try to avoid the TSI and DSG combo, or cut the B-segment and focus on SUV.. just look at Peugeot Malaysia.. |
