I think we shouldn't. If one person tip then the next person will feel like tipping and the next and the next .....
Employers should pay the salary their waiters/waitresses deserve, and charge it to the price so that the price we see is the price we pay

Unlike paying with cash because waiting for small change will make you look cheap

Only american restaurants in america still use the tip system. Even europe is pulling away from that practice.
