gnome....not too sure leh but the beta application closed already. will let the rest know about the lag and impressions when i go home later to download & try it out.

testing out the beta...all i can say is....GUYS, YOU"RE GONNA WANT TO SAVE $$$$ FOR THIS. IT ROCKS!

1. Lag is ok so far.

2. seems to be using the 'smart' matchmaking system for multiplayer (like halo 3) and hence u do spend a bit more time in the lobby because it tries to match u with games with the best connection (or with our wonderful streamyx, the least lag).

3. graphics of environments seems pretty good (afterall, it's a beta)

4. gameplay is pretty solid.

5. u can actually create your own class but i haven't reach that far in rank to try it out yet. so far only level 2 & getting pwned left, right & center.

so....more on the game...

1. 5 character class + 5 custom class slots: assault, sniper, heavy gunner, demolitions expert & recon

2. as u progress thru the rank, u unlock new stuff like guns & skills

3. so, only been playing 3 maps....i) some village, ii) an abandoned warehouse/factory & iii) an urban environment like something out of black hawk down (yes, with a freaking downed helicopter on the streets as well)

4. so far, managed to get to lvl 11 (sergeant) and that's the limit at the moment. considering it's only been 2 hours of play, it should be a steady progress for all of us playing it.

5. there are things called challenges. completing these challenges will unlock new stuff like camo, guns & skills (eg. kill 25 with headshots with ak-47)

6. more on the lag, the matchmaking has done it's job! so far, it's lag free for me with 3 green bars (which is the max i think).

now to customize my character!

@terra, go to create a class & from there u can either create a class or change the weapons for the default classes. don't forget, u can also change the skills or put in the skills of your choice. all my custom classes have last stand....I"M TAKING U WITH ME! BLAM! BLAM!


@mayat, nice! but only 3 characters only lah....maybe we can change it to MIF! i think i better register it just in case they allow us to carry over the clan tags when the game comes out in november.

and guys, clan MILF is not available because it's deemed offensive so i've created clan *** (which is deemed offensive in LYN...anyways, it's begins with T, a I in the middle and ends with U). other than the obvious, i've no idea what it stands for
