recently my p4p800-x died without warning, i had to get a replacement asap as my family members use the com very frequently especially my dad who surfs klse.com.my for hours almost daily... having read so many good reviews about the asrock i convinced my dad to fork out a lil bit more $$$ for the mobo and processor.. a total of RM690.. With the mobo i managed to o/c the E4400 to 2.950GHz with my ddr400 running at 4:3 that is 221MHz.. unfortunately beyond FSB295 it's not Prime stable. This is by no means a great OC for a C2D but i get to keep my AGP card and DDR400 mems (although i plan to get DDR2 soon *Update: Already got them! YAY! )... overall i'm very satisfied with this combo... it's fast, it's stable and more importantly it's cheap... i couldnt have asked for more.... anyone with very limited budget could consider this... *Update: For those who asked about the benches n proc info.. here they are... E4400 batch no. Q646A724T

QUOTE(casperito @ Apr 29 2007, 03:29 AM) from my point of view, asrock mobo is not that good laa... u should better get a biostar mobo... cheap and good... juz my opinion laa.. no offence.. you sure biostar has got a mobo that supports C2D with AGP n DDR1? cause the asrock is the only one i know with these features... QUOTE(jason83 @ Apr 29 2007, 03:31 AM) the one which u can use ddr and agp or pcie at the same time? eh care to tell me your gfx card and 3dmark 05 score? i might buy this mobo to... then get a e4300 and overclock to 3ghz yeah.. that one with agp/pcie and ddr1/ddr2... my GC is 6800NU AGP 12p/6v 400/890... scores around 4600 in 3dm05 in vista... CPU score is 9560.. This post has been edited by AREA51: Apr 29 2007, 12:46 PM

QUOTE(lohwenli @ May 4 2007, 06:36 PM) The AGP/DDR Asrock board runs on a 865 chipset, 295fsb is considered fantastic already. Practically all 865/875 boards (mostly socket 478) would not go beyound 300fsb without voltmodding, and even with suicide voltmodding it will only reach ~320-330fsb. So sorry pal, 295fsb is as far as you can go; you're not gonna be able to get that e4400 any faster than you are already. The 775Dual-VSTA uses Via PT880Pro/Ultra chipset.. but you are right, there's an FSB wall at around 300MHz for this board...

QUOTE(suri @ May 5 2007, 11:57 AM) i also have this board coupled with e4300, dd2 ram and agp card. max can go is 295 fsb. but considering the price i really think this is a great board for people who cannot afford to upgrade all components at a time. yeah.. i couldnt agree more... really happy with it... i'm stuck at 295 too .

hi guys sorry i have not been free these few days because of exams... to answer your questions, yes the o/c is done on stock voltage as the Asrock doesn't have Vcore adjustment.. as i wont be at home any time soon i cant really check the batch number and stuff for the E4400. All i can remember is it's of the L2 stepping, made in malaysia.. 1.35V... hope that helps... This post has been edited by AREA51: May 12 2007, 11:43 PM
