Interesting concept, definitely copied heavily from supercell's Brawl Stars. What I hated about brawl stars is that once you shoot, say a machine gun, you can't change the direction of fire. So if you miss the target on first bullet, chances are all your remaining bullets would miss too.

Wonder if this game suffers the same fate? In the gameplay videos it seems to be more of a melee brawl instead.

Yup it is a melee brawl. So far the events are offering premium in game currency. Quite balanced game and it focuses on attack timing and getting 4 random skills per level up. Only difference are the heroes, pre-skill, and pet effect you choose to define your play style.

There are ranged attack but these only come from picking up items (bomb & mallet) in the game. I couldn't say it is fully copy from Brawl Stars since the concept here on the heroes are limited and more towards skills, with little MOBA-RPG element by collecting resources (mushrooms) to level up.
