Guys anyone on hotlink prepaid? I notice i am losing credits is it bcs of the phone or hotlink? I have already turn off mobile data is there something else i didnt do???

Yes guys i just check my hotlink e statement and they are deducting 0.10 sens many times in the day listed as GPS. But my mobile data is off??? How to stop this?

Thanks soultakerHMMastermyself379 and many others for your reply and advice.

Hi JustcallmeLarry, any update? Did you solve your hotlink prepaid problem? Or still losing 0.10 sens for GPRS?

QUOTE
Turn off 4G. Or simply get a plan with free internet, or subscribe to one.

mengsuan Turn off 4G work! Thank you! Since I don't using any data on this number so just leave it on 3G.

Some 4G devices still transmit data packets although mobile data switch is off, suspected to be attempts to use VoLTE. Hence most prepaid plan now has free basic data. These charges were frequently complained when 4G phone just released.
It is something to be aware when roaming too. The charges will not be waived in some cases.

Thanks, very useful information.

That's why the advice is not recommended to clear Google Services Framework as wimp.
*
Yep, unless you are plan to reset your phone after update to oreo, otherwise clearing the google service framework will cause a lot of problems.

Well no official news so far but I’ve stopped waiting. Hands itchy to try new phone liow biggrin.gif

Haha, which version of your phone running before update to January security patch Oreo?

How is Jan Oreo compare to Dec Oreo?

Wait a minute, from your post "but I’ve stopped waiting." Does this mean you are using your phone right now with Oreo Dec or you'd use the force update method to update your phone to Oreo Jan?...I am a bit confused haha icon_question.gif

But it's okay, enjoy your new phone! rclxm9.gif

Hahaha... I mean I stopped going into the system settings daily to see if there is a new update, ha ha. I'm on Oreo December, haven't gone into January one yet, don't know if they have really pulled it out or not. Wished I didn't go with the Oreo in December, while my phone has no bugs the battery life isn't quite as good on Oreo as it was on Nougat before I updated.

We'll see smile.gif
*
Oh, got it now haha, btw how is your battery life when on nougat? I didn't use the phone when on nougat so curious about it.

On the average, I was getting about an hour of SOT more on the same battery percentages on Nougat than I am with Oreo.
*
Thanks for sharing, now I'm a bit afraid after one year update the battery life only have 3 hours SOT....(from mi5 experience sad.gif )

It happens on every phone.

Battery degrades over time.

QUOTE(myself379 @ Jan 20 2018, 06:20 AM)
Updates have nothing to do with battery degradation. Battery capacity degrade over time.
*
You're right, but updates also bringing in new features, some of those fancy features consume a lot battery power too.

Luckily, this is android one device and the main advantages is pure and simple.

So the conclusion is: I think too much lol laugh.gif

It's definitely not a battery degrading issue, after the my phone is barely 3 months old! Anyways, to me, the battery performance is still acceptable.

Just can't get my January update soon enough biggrin.gif
*
So sad mine still didn't receive the update....

Guys if you found any bugs/nice improvement please share to us thumbup.gif
