Monthly security updates are a given.

Software updates are pretty fast too.

With stock Android, you won't feel your phone getting old but younger in terms of software. The only thing that makes you feel your phone is old will be the hardware department but hey smartphone makers need to survive too!

Dammit just when I pulled the trigger and order this phone now I see quite a number of people having problem with their set in the last few pages. Is it a temporary oreo problem or permanent? ??

Oh wow, Zuk Edge! Nice! Yeah, that's kinda rare. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised with this little fella. Last year alone, I tried the S8, S8+, Note 8 and U11. As far as battery life goes, none of them came close to what I'm getting from the Mi A1

Ok, before you get your expectations up, I think I better clarify my statement, hehe. In terms of battery life, outstanding, but everything else in terms of camera, display, functionality is just mediocre, given that this is a midrange phone after all. My usage is roughly about the same as yours and in that respect, the performance is great though. No lags, everything is pretty nifty and smooth. I regularly achieved 3-4hours SOT with about 50-60% battery life remaining when the phone was still on Nougat, but after the latest Oreo upgrade, I did 4 hours SOT, 21 hours standby with 41% battery remaining on my first charge cycle after the update. Can refer here for my Oreo one and my Nougat one here

Accessories are a bit hard to come by at retail shops though, so no choice but to go online I'm currently using this case

The seller has a physical store but it's in Klang though, not sure where your location is. He's pretty friendly. I went there to get my tempered glass from him as well, but I can't recommend the tempered glass, it has the horrible halo effect. Does the job for 15 bucks though, can't complain

Straight open and start setting up my phone. Happy with the performance, display, camera compare to my Redmi 3S.

Could anyone explain the bad battery life im facing? I'm using 4g data all the time but the total SOT is only about 4hours. Only used my phone mostly for chrome browsing (only 1hr+ SOT as you can see) and telegram(mostly incoming messages notification and occasionally reading the messages). I'm on Android 8.0, not rooted, using Nova Launcher Prime(if that even matters) and using 30% brightness or more when I'm outdoor.

Anyway.. I really miss the DUal App. ANyone got a recommended dual app to recommend?

I've skipped the Oreo update when I can download it cuz of the list of bugs. Then few days ago I've tried to search for update and they didn't prompt me to update. It just says that my phone is currently on the latest version of android. Probably they retracted the update to solve the bugs? Possible?

maybe UMobile 4G bandwidth is incompatible with the phone? Did you check which band is Umobile using?
as for the Gboard, mine is absolutely fine though.
