Could anyone explain the bad battery life im facing? I'm using 4g data all the time but the total SOT is only about 4hours. Only used my phone mostly for chrome browsing (only 1hr+ SOT as you can see) and telegram(mostly incoming messages notification and occasionally reading the messages). I'm on Android 8.0, not rooted, using Nova Launcher Prime(if that even matters) and using 30% brightness or more when I'm outdoor.

Hi notworthy.gif

I'm on Nougat 7.1 with Magisk root and Xposed. I'm still on stock recovery as I only boot TWRP recovery via fastboot.

You frequently moving to few places in a day? That also will drain the battery as Google keep track wherever you go. You can limit Google tracking by opt out some of it's tracking. You can also off the location or change it to battery saving mode.

A lot of instant messaging also can cause the phone to keep waking up to check messages. Or maybe there's an app that you seldom use but it keep running in the background and draining the battery. Try use Naptime, it can force Doze mode faster to whenever the screen is off and limit apps from waking it up. Since you're not rooted, you need to connect to PC and use adb command to enable it's main function.

Is Magisk root ready for Oreo 8.0? I've been searching around for tutorial to root but cant seem to follow the instruction/some files are inaccessible(deleted/removed). Hoping someone can actually guide me to root my Mi A1

Anyone got any issue with your power button or volume button? My mi A1 requires multiple presses sometimes to lock/unlock screen and adjust volume up down. Not sure if it's due to software lag or hardware issue. No lagginess when using be phone though.

Anyone else having same issue? Just wondering if this is covered under the xiaomi warranty? Currently even controlling volume or screenshot (power+volume down button), had to try like 10 times before I can successfully screenshot

Just an update that previously I had problems with my Mi A1 and I've sent it for warranty and got the buttons replaced and now i'm using it perfectly fine smile.gif
I think it was due to liquid which might have entered the button through the gap and messed up with the circuit. However I got it replaced free of charge because its still under warranty

Water damage covered by warranty? hmm.gif

it was purely based on assumption because I do occasionally use it during my shower. button sometimes requires multiple presses before it actually responds, so I assume the power board of the button has short circuited or something. nevertheless, got it replaced for free
