Now facing GPS lost signal on hiway.. possible the thick cloud. Need to test further as previously okay.

I got the notification on 26th. Tried few days overall okay... just that gps always dropped, anyone using maps i think best not to update.

The pie update.. Jan 2019 update right? about 71.5mb.

It wont.. as always anything can happen so back up from time to time is good.

I don;t like nor hate it... some are good for this latest update.

the battery drain improved from Dec Pie update.
there is no self reboot (so far compare to previous version on my A1).
The setting icon..now need to swipe down 2nd time to get it.. unless i have the setting icon on the page.

one more pending:
GPS lock (signal lost while on google map).. i need to monitor/test this again... hope it is improved.

UPDATE:
GPS locking much improved from previous Dec PIE. Just still some lack.

huh... as i read your comment, you are on pie already. So are you saying that now after pie your A1 facing this?


I had this issue with google map in Dec Pie update. but in Jan 2019, the new patch solved the issue.

If correct, the mic is on the top and bottom part of the phone.

mid part on top and beside headphone jack. possible the casing is blocking it.

i am not sure master reset will get back to 7.0. as i know of, hard reset will just back to what you have. they said best not to downgrade back as it will caused issue.

i had no problem now with google map after the Jan pie.

Possible you can do it clear Waze data and cache... or reinstall Waze... if this not..then only try reset the phone.

Have you tried putting in other sim card if have to see how is it?

Missing call log?? you mean some call records (missed / call out...) missing from the list?


I did not noticed anything missing though in my A1.

Maybe in the call page, once you selected the contact name, click on Call Details to get the call log for that contact. But i think it is limited for a period, eg if older history, it does not show.

If I recalled.. a few users facing Waze gps lock issue. What they did is clear data & cache for Waze app and they reinstall waze again. It works for them..

I think pure uninstall and reinstall may not work... previously tested by few users, they clear data, clear cache for Waze first, then uninstall + reinstall waze then it works.

I did the same thing before for Google Maps and it works too.

that bad huh... i am using google map so not sure how bad for Waze. hope they sort it out soon

ok ah.. there are many types. I am using SanDisk for storage files. I gotten from shopee Sandisk authorised seller.. not the unknown shops.
