now that u mention, its not hard but definitely harder than most other cases...share with you my experience:-

1. when you unbox, the rim is attached to the bumper as default
2. if you are planning to use backplate instead of bare back with bumper, then you should remove the rim (its like a tiny rubber to surround the bumper)
3. install backplate into the bumper, this is the challenging part coz if you don't install properly, ur backplate might affect the fitting on your phone later on... make sure all the corners are "clipped" in properly.. u can hear the clipping sound (tick)...
4. once your backplate is attached to the bumper, then you can put your phone in just like any other casings ...

tricky part is no.3, where I check many rounds before putting my phone into the case..

no u can only pick either one... bumper + rim or bumper + backplate... lol...just go with backplate coz I don't think u can go naked back.... unless u have some skins or coat etc...

just go with the backplate bro...... anyway if you're planning to get lenses next time u need the backplate for the adapter

well haha its up to individual's preference.... for me I prefer something black or white

if you wanna have the white bumper then you'll have to get a back skin or TG..... but I don't really recommend that... haha

yea can always change backplate after few months if it gets too messy with scratches...

this casing offers one of the best protection.. shouldn't compare with cheap one.. should be comparing with those top branded ones

definitely bumper + backplate better protection.... imagine if you drop your phone side ways on something sharp and hit rights onto the apple logo .... even with skin, it probably prevent scratches but the damage on it though..

haha I used to believe that too..... until my ip5s hit right on the logo, tio rocks on the ground, and KO straight..i was a fan of bumpers last time.... after that incident no way...

haha np, just sharing some of my bad experience... its ok u can keep those for future... who knows maybe u get bored of the clear backplate few months later... then can put on skin.. never a waste..
