thanks for letting my CPU leeching ur system for some time
Hmm... maybe 10x333MHz? RAM set to 1:1 with FSB and then lowered the RAM timing. Hopefully can get a better superPI time.

Welcome dude, let's do some wonders with my engineering sample

so how much gain do you get from 333MHz to 416MHz?

Actually I loan it to gogo2 for a few years until the unit is fully owned by me (the unit is partly Intel now). Since he is in penang and my ex-colleage, it's easier to get feedback from him if Intel wants me to share experience. I'm still a contract employee, maybe can help you to buy one after i am confirmed
You can ask gogo2 to try folding@home with your login, i am eager to know how well it can perform too |

damn... i should keep this CPU for myself, too bad no money to buy whole new Intel system
My Opty only can achieve 29s @ 2.8GHz, really sad case So gogo2, how is ur QX performing at 3.0GHz? Is it stable enough at default voltage? How long have u run the SP2004? |

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ May 4 2007, 10:50 AM) 3.0Ghz should be no problem at all la... Stable at default voltage? That is excellent !i'm running at 3.2Ghz and it's very very stable... no problem at all... When i use internal validation suites, this CPU would fail a few stress test when it runs beyond 3.0GHz. Maybe due to stock HSF. |

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ May 5 2007, 12:19 AM) no...voltage is at 1.4V i think... default is 1.35V...can't really remember if it runs well at 1.35V but i just put voltage higher for stability purpose... That day i tried with gogo2 PC, and manage to get 3.0GHz using default voltage (i think only 1.275V). Running 9x333MHz should b alrite i think. It seems like gogo2 not replying my previous post |

Yes, you are right. The voltage ID is 2Ah by default, which means 1.35V. The max supported ID translates to 1.60V. gogo2, you can pump up to 1.60V safely
