Hi guys, may i know if we can play Dota on Macbook with LAN port?

What i mean is normally 3 of my frenz and i playin Dota on LAN using Router to connect

to 4 laptops....................also with IP. Which we need to install the Protocal in the Local Area Connection Properties.

Does OSX have this settings? Can we play LAN? Pls advice and thx for the time guys. biggrin.gif

FYI, im using Toshiba M100 (without GPU). Decided to change laptop to either Apple

Macbook or HP DV6000.

Sorry if my questions are not so clear.................. tongue.gif

You can choose how much space to set aside for XP using Boot Camp. Just dedicate 15GB to make sure you have space for more games if you choose to continue using XP. Then again, can't you get WC3 + FT for Mac OS X? :\

What I mean to say is that it might not be at all necessary to use Windows XP to do your gaming. I think you should be able to install your WC3 Battlechest in Mac OS X. You're bound to have plenty of control over connection settings in OS X.

yupe.....Warcraft III can install on both mac n pc on the same disc...that mean u dont need to buy another version for Mac

and the latest patch 1.21a fix the issue of mac-intel running Warcraft III...so i think u wont have any problem playing dota on OSX or windows...

LAN is same in both OSX n Windows, u could set it urself....just the file sharing different...i still donno how to fix the issue of sharing file with my fren's mac...

I've partitioned 32GB for XP coz I'm a heavy windows user. After the space taken by OSX and other apple applications, it leaves me with about 12GB of free space running in Mac. Is this enuf to really download other stuff and enjoy the features in Mac? Guess you can't have the best of both..
