first of all i would like to say thanks a lot for the info as im loooking to get the same combo of 65nm x2 3600+ with either the tf7050-m2 or the ta690g but im still deciding.
im a noobie in overclocking stuff but have a few questions. the voltage is vcore right? how much is the default vcore and how much of an overclock can u get from default vcore? all the results go over 3.0GHz from 1.9GHz so i would say thats an amazing overclock but where is it most stable and suitable for long term daily continuous usage (24/7)? compared to the ta690g review from vr-zone, the 3d marks for the x1250 were although on a different (and higher end) benchmarking setup (AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 512KB x2 AM2, G Skill F2-6400C-4D-2GBHK 2x 1GB @ DDR800 4-4-3-5, Asus Chill Vent Lux CPU Cooler, Hitachi 7K250 160GB SATA-II, Silverstone ST65ZF) 3dmark 03 - 1793 x1250 3dmark 05 - 1083 x1250 3dmark 06 - 321 x1250 compared to the geforce 7050 3dmark 03 - 1866 gf7050 3dmark 05 - 830 gf7050 3dmark 06 - 220 gf7050 which would u think is the better IGP? tho i dont completely believe in 3dmark benchmarking for actual real life practical usages like gaming and videos. |

Thread cleaned.
Now you guys can start posting out USEFUL comments or questions. If you want to ask about price, please post in the PRICE & DEALER'S GUIDE section. Thank you. On another note, it's cool that this board despite having built-in VGA... it only have one chipset instead of two like most other mATX w/VGA boards. QUOTE(windwithme @ Apr 29 2007, 01:48 AM) Hi windwithme, I like to ask, the biostar 690G that u mention above izzit the TA690G ? Coz i got a latest brochure from Biostar but don't find any mobo called 690G. Just wandering if u would b reviewing the same board or not, coz its quite a nice board, just lack of proper connectors inside the TA690G. Thanks for all ur review, especially the DFI P965-S, good board with great OC ability. |

The lack of dvi would be a major draw back from my pov as lcd monitor is kinda standard nowdays, unless the package do include a hdmi to dvi convertor.

windwithme, thanks a lot for the review, me too are putting my eye on these 2 mobos same as awh85
however, i find the design layout for ta690g will have better cable management, and it comes w a dvi port if chipset temperature and voltage measurement are included will be perfect, these 2 boards will be aimed for BTing by most user too |

Oh yah,
Sir windwithme, if u have time, kindly also review the ABIT Fatal1ty F-I90HD. Malaysia is getting new stocks for it soon, heard its a killer M-Atx mobo for C2D. Will be interested to know how good it is too. Thank you for your generous effort. Also, all the best to ur exams. |

Reviving this thread
Anyone else using this board? I see it is a great board to oc as well, just like TA690G, but with lower graphic performance. Maybe that's why most ppl would go for TA690G instead? |

so this board got split power plan?
or need to plug AM2+ cpu to reveal the option? HT 3 etc... eager to know the different between TA690G... i think.. min vdimm @ 1.95 still not good option.. coz standard DDR2 is 1.8v.. and vCpu cannot set below default cpu voltage... |
