Hey, I'm going college soon and I need a notebook to do work on. I don't game, I have a pc for that so I don't want something made for that.
1. Preferred brand : Any 2. Budget : 600 good enough? 3. Usage : Schoolwork, nothing intensive 4. Screen Size : Any 5. Other:
I am eyeing at Chromebooks, so please suggest those as I believe windows laptops will be crap at this price anyway. If it's not wise to purchase something at all for this price range, please knock sense into me.
Thanks all!

1. Preferred brand : Any with good after sales service 2. Budget : RM1500 3. Usage : College (arts foundation) so should be fairly light apps like Google docs and spreadsheets. 4. Screen Size : 14 preferably, less is a bit small and more can be too heavy
Looking for something for college. Quite light usage, already have desktop for games and whatnot. Prefer something that is emphasized on being light and portable, and has ssd. Also a good battery life.
Thanks!

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Apr 30 2018, 11:42 AM) Your budget is very tight. I would suggest used Thinkpad like T430 with new battery and extra RAM/SSD If you don't want used, Ideapad 120s or Chuwi stuffs Never heard of chuwi. How good is this brand? Do you have any model you recommend?

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Apr 30 2018, 11:58 AM) Reviews of their stuffs are quite good. Cheap, good build quality, OK battery life, IPS display (some are high quality 3:2 panel). Can't comment on reliability. Warranty handled by importer so buy at your own risk. Most of their stuffs are good, just compare the specs. At such price range they offer the best options. If you want 14 inch, Lapbook 14.1, though this model isn't that good. I recommend Lapbook 12.3. Laptops in this price range have sacrifices so check reviews from Notebookcheck or Ultrabookreview (Anandtech or TechRadar for Chuwi laptops reviews) I've read the reviews, and think this the lapbook 12.3 seems good too. But where can you buy this? I've looked around but couldn't find a place that isn't just an online shop shipping from overseas.

Hi, would like some sifu opinions. 1. Preferred brand : - 2. Budget : Rm2000 3. Usage : MS office, Lightroom, browser. No games (have desktop) 4. Screen Size : 13 inch I'm just looking around for options as my current laptop - Lenovo yoga 2 pro's screen has broken and replacing it would cost half of what I paid for. My priorities are form factor and battery life (in that order). I would like a laptop with light weight, 2kgs or below. Battery life has to be able to last 4-5 hours. Thanks!
