Hey guys. Just some quick questions here. Is it okay to buy used laptop rather than buy the new one ?

My budget is around rm 2500 (max.) and i need a decent laptop that can multitask a lot (browsing + downloading + watching/streaming video) smoothly. Not into editing stuff or gaming. Size of the screen doesn't matter.

Right now, i consider to get a used laptop and just upgrade the ram because im not that expert when looking into the specs of laptop. Or do you guys have any suggestions or advices ? Thank you so much.

RAM is RAM, any will do

SSD (120/128GB) in general look for those with 3D NAND (Samsung NAND too expensive) due to better reliability.

Roughly, how much if upgrade to 128 ssd + 8gb ram ? total of rm500 would do ?

You mean add 4GB to total 8GB or add an 8GB stick?

add an 8gb stick, and also consider if trade in with 4gb ram, usually how much they will take ?
