Hey guys, this is Austin, need some expert opinions if you guys are willing to help.

I'm buying a budget gaming laptop for the first time, and after checking my budget, RM4k, can get me:

Acer Predator Helios 300

Or

Asus TUF FX504

Both have i5-8300H, Geforce GTX 1060, 4GB DDR4, 128 SSD + 1TB HDD, Under RM 4k...the difference in price is RM100 between those two..,

My question is which one is better? If anyone of your own either laptop...,feel free to drop by your review...,because both company will advertise such bullshit as claiming better thermal, quiet fan etc...while in the real world application...,it wont necessarily work like that

Dont ask me to consider other laptop because only these two right now have full GTX 1060 (NOT MAX Q DESIGN) under RM4K...

Both have bad cooling and OKish build quality, you get what you pay. I wouldn't recommend either, however if you're willing to do repaste+undervolt I would choose Helios 300

Must it be 1060 GPU?
*
Fortunately..,it have to be 1060 gpu...,1050ti is not vr-ready while 1070 is way above my budget...because im buying a laptop that gonna last about 4-5 years from now...and who know what gonna happened to vr technology by then...,so yeah...1060 is definitely the minimum future proof gpu right now...

Is the new lenovo legion Y530 (i5,1050ti) suitable for playing modern games such as Assassin Creed,Tomb raider,Dota 2?

If so..,hows the thermal of the laptop?

Highly interested in it as it is only the gaming laptop that has modern look ( slim bezel,no red colour ) in the budget range...

Help me Sifu..,

Every laptop needs undervolt (thanks Intel)

Preferred max weight and battery life?
*
No max weight and battery life as I dont mind carrying the laptop with the charger...,only care about raw performance under tight budget (RM4k)...Thanks in advance sifu..,

Prefer more CPU or more GPU performance

So if i order one from lenovo website, it will have delivery problem as well...Btw..., want to ask you why u choose gtx 1050ti but the 2gb version instead of the 4gb...even mx150 has 2gb...and also why go 144hz panel as the gtx 1050ti cant really push the frame rates that high...,mostly will only stuck at 60 fps...unless it a full gtx 1060 like helios 300...No offense or anything...Just want to hear your opinion...
