Hey, i think it's actually based on your preferences and all. If you're waiting 8th gen to release, of course the performance will improve but not sure how much difference it will be. But you have a tight budget, i think now its the best time for you to get a laptop as i believe all of the brand will try to push 7th gen laptops with some sorts of promotion.
