Thanks for responding, ZM.
Would lowering to 4gb ram get me anything?
My plan is to get a lowest cost laptop possible with IPS and and expandable ram. Future upgrade will then be 8gb ram  and add m.2 storage in place of the default hdd.

4GB RAM+HDD=terrible experience. Not recommended

Stands for "Standard RGB" (RGB stands for "Red Green Blue"). sRGB is a color space that defines a range of colors that can be displayed on screen on in print.
by means, do you need high color accuracy?

Well said, but colour coverage/space≠colour accuracy

Sorry not familiar with these terms. What's the difference?
Min 3 hours? Max 2 kg?
*
Low sRGB=low colour coverage (colour not that vibrant). And vice versa

Can consider Ideapad 320s 14 with RAM+SSD upgrades

Ya it's a bad model but still many ppl buy it due to Asus brand...haiz

G7 is excellent, only thing is the low sRGB FHD IPS display

Hi all, any comment on GL503G ROG Strix Hero? Got cooling problem?

If Dell G7 vs GL503G, which is the better choice to go? thanks =)
*
GL503 has good cooling but GPU runs a bit warm

You can refer to my gaming laptop buying guide to choose the right model
