Is the ideapad 330s any better than the 320s?
*
Seems like not due to smaller battery

1. Budget : <RM1500, lower better, new or used

2. Usage : Microsoft Office, light Photoshop, ~10 tab browsing, multimedia

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : LIGHTWEIGHT, 13"/14", low power, 120gb ssd (dont really need hdd), able to add 2nd ram

4. Preferred but not necessary : full hd, can play h265 10-bit video

You're asking too much for the budget. Can look into used business laptops

I7 CPU.

You won't get a decent laptop with 8750H with that budget

8300H laptop with RAM and SSD upgrades is a better choice

Don’t mind any of the above as long as it’s 15inch. Windows or MacOs dont matter as well. Thanks !

Your budget is super overkill for your usage and requirements. I suggest you to drop your budget first.

HAHA yeah i know its an overkill, just looking to see if there's any other laptops equivalent to the MBP 2018.

There are options like XPS 15 and Zenbook Pro but they have their own issues especially cooling

Personally I wouldn't recommend them unless you need the battery life and willing to sacrifice cooling

1. Budget: RM2k
2. Usage: For uni. Watching movies, Internet browsing and doing assignments. No gaming
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc): 15" and below, 8GB RAM preferred & SSD

Asking for a friend. A bit outdated with current pricing. If budget not enough, I will upgrade the RAM to 8GB and SSD by myself in the future

Can top up budget by a bit more?

Haha can la if only a bit. What do you have in mind?
*
Lenovo Ideapad 320s 14. Or Nexstgo Su (SU01) if you trust the reliability and aftersales support.

Or Ideapad 120s 14 and Chuwi stuffs if you don't mind much slower CPU

Is battery life important to you?

No requirement for dGPU.

3hrs above battery life should suffice. Thanks in advance.

-Lenovo Ideapad 320s 14 with RAM+SSD upgrades, entry level IPS
-Dell Vostro 5471 with manual RAM+SSD upgrades

n insp 7472 got 6hrs battery life... on excel usage le... not bad for a 3 cell liao
*
I know, but the extra cash isn't worth it (manual upgrade is usually cheaper)

There are options with similar price can do better than 6 hrs (Swift 3 for instance)

Budget: below 7k
Screen size: 15.6"
Specification: i7-8750h. 16GB 2666mhz. 128gb M.2 mvme is sufficient. Must have number pad. Will be connected to dual 4k monitor for non gaming. Prefer thin bezel. Battery life around 3hrs should be enough, it will be depleted over time anyway. Thunderbolt 3 is a plus for future external GPU expansion.
*
GL504 has cooling issu. Preferred weight?

AW15 R4 120Hz or Dell G7 (entry level FHD IPS). Upgrade RAM and storage manually is usually cheaper

Not sure regarding the other brand so I think will go for Lenovo. I'm unable to find 320s 14 on Lenovo website though.

After checking with my friend, I think the 330s 14 is the best so far and met the specs. Battery 7 hours is good enough. Just need to topup RM220.

Thanks ZM Fong! smile.gif
*
7 hrs is advertised which is unrealistic. 330s 14 has smaller battery. 320s 14 is EOL

But I heard that there are many issues with Lenovo ideapad products, are there any alternative to the ideapad 320s 14"?

Your budget is low so you don't have much options. This one is probably the best value

Hi all. Is the nexstgo sure series laptop worth getting?

It is featuring with i5 processor.

No reviews, reliability and warranty concerns. If you don't mind those then go for it
