Dim display (but touchscreen), OKish battery life, performance issue (8250U perform like 7200U)

Unless you want ultra light/slim laptop, wouldn't recommend

Thanks for responding, ZM.
Would lowering to 4gb ram get me anything?
My plan is to get a lowest cost laptop possible with IPS and and expandable ram. Future upgrade will then be 8gb ram and add m.2 storage in place of the default hdd.

Better get the minimum with Ssd now. I just bought hp pavilion 1tb+128ssd + 8gb + i5-8250 for rm3150. Good metal chassis, better port compared to envy. Just it's heavier and larger even with the same screensize.

Bought at hp midvalley.

Sorry not familiar with these terms. What's the difference?
Min 3 hours? Max 2 kg?

Stands for "Standard RGB" (RGB stands for "Red Green Blue"). sRGB is a color space that defines a range of colors that can be displayed on screen on in print.
by means, do you need high color accuracy?

Well said, but colour coverage/space≠colour accuracy

Low sRGB=low colour coverage (colour not that vibrant). And vice versa

Can consider Ideapad 320s 14 with RAM+SSD upgrades
