QUOTE(howszat @ Dec 31 2017, 09:48 PM) Laptop only? Laptop cannot do RAID. AFAIK. actually some higher end laptop (e.g some gaming laptop) can do that. there are few model that even come in raid0 configuration by default (seems overkill la, because processing power not enough to take advantage of nvme drive in raid0)

QUOTE(bryanhwm @ Dec 31 2017, 09:46 PM) I saw that option too. But worry it wouldn't last. but anyways, you don't need RAID storage system. you need a fast external storage system and hard disks/SSDs. you can regularly schedule backup on different external hard disks though. if your laptop is still using hard disk, it is time to migrate to SSD if your laptop motherboard supports. i think you got an incorrect view about this RAID system.

QUOTE(bryanhwm @ Dec 31 2017, 09:37 PM) it better to use dropbox + either gdrive or onedrive. It's much more reliable in long run and is free until u hit the free limit...

Cannot do RAID, too strong. Because there are bound to be a few that can, for whatever reasons.
