I beg to differ. If under warranty and it will be done for free, then yes, you need to show proof that the battery is damaged or showing a problem. However, this is a paid service, they are reducing the retail price of a battery replacement from 329 to 129. Its a voluntary service which you have to pay for.
If you change under warranty, then yes, i agree, you need to show proof. But in this case, its basically, your money for a new battery. Thats it.
