Hi all,

Ive been delaying long enough and my sister alerted me that the battery replacement is coming to an end. So i like to take advantage to replace the battery.

My husband told me that his colleague got a replacement phone, when he asked her, she didnt reply whatsapp till now. They rarely met at workplace and so i didnt want to push it.

I am using iphone 6s Rose Gold 128gb and always expected shutdown.
As i was reading, I saw someone posted this link : https://www.apple.com/support/iphone6s-unexpectedshutdown/
"The iPhone 6s serial number you entered is eligible for this program. Please choose one of the service options below."
So Im not so sure, but will I get a on replacement phone for free, or I need to pay RM199, or RM399?

EDIT : I can be such a dum dum woman sometimes.
Reached out to chat :

You’re chatting with Jose Ricardo
"I’m sorry for the inconvenience you are having and definitely this is not the experience we want you to have as a customer. You have reached the right place and we will get this issue resolved as soon as possible!
In this case your iPhone 6s is eligible for a battery replacement, free of charge.
May I know which country are you in, please?"

My husband is using Iphone 7+, imma try to replace his battery as well

My husband is using Iphone 7+, im pretty sure he'd be eligible for the battery change too, perhaps?

I think the free replacement program for those set that have issue has ended. iPhone6s release around Sept 15’. I could be wrong, just walk in and ask those Apple Premium Reseller.

The program covers affected iPhone 6s batteries for 3 years after the first retail sale of the unit.

So yes I am still eligible as per chat session with apple
I got my phone back on March 2016 under maxis zerolution

Im kinda happy as I will be getting a replacement. I think its better, i guess.
Initially I wanted to just change the battery.
Downloaded battery life, shows as 38% for my 6s

38%! i think your phone must have trottle down the performance to a halt. no wonder a lot of shutdown. Apple consider battery health < 80% as deem to have failed.

sweat.gif sweat.gif yes. I admit i kept delaying this replacement thing i guess.
And yes battery would last 2-3 hours on constant use, before needing to charge again.
with full charge and if i leave it aside without using it i guess maybe it would like 7-9 hours?

No so much the issue of them not having batteries not in stock. Not too pleased I made an appointment, just to have to go in to fill up a form to order a battery before going in for a 2nd round to have it changed. Not really efficient.
*
Yep agree not efficient. Anyway don't forgot to back up your data before sending in.

Does the phone have to be in good condition to replace the battery?
My screen has a crack on the top left corner and some bumps on the edges.

You have to replace with authorized service provider or else they will reject with reason it was opened by non authorized service provider

I guess it’s just another china made battery.
Just that apple store will take 1 day and they will wipe my phone, vs third party store which only takes 10mins and wont wipe my phone, and they will fix it infront of me
