Since after making few research, i've bumped into this thread. I'm looking for new tv and right now Senheng offer this tv in their store.

Between LC50UA6800X (priced RM2,199.00) vs LC45UA6800X (priced RM1,799.00) which one is better to go? can help me differentiate the pro & cons?

i fall into the same dilemma like yours..
IMHO pros is the price.

for me, 45 inch still looks good in small living room..

which one is your choice? im thinking on getting the 45" but the 50" is tempting too  drool.gif

still cannot decide .. but my living room is small, 50in is already huge for me so i might go with smaller size , cheaper .. last night found panasonic 43FX500K using IPS display 43in just rm1.4k .. more headache to decide

al1x is almost the same as ua6800x, so i take as they are the same.

ATV playstore is limited - only those that pass google ATV tests get listed, unlike generic android apps.

but still, u can install most of these generic apps.

since they r not in TV playstore, u have to get the apk's on pc, copy to USB, take usb drive to TV to install.

for installation, u need an app like X-plore, find in playstore, install it.

some apps install easy, some need permissions, some need browser, etc.

try a couple to get a feel... it is no diff from installing apps on phone, tablet or box.

there are apps that the TV security will reject... do not try to outsmart it, force it to install!

in general, do not install suspicious apps or apps u hv never used.

there are apps that carry malware, can cause big problems, like bricking... a box cost rm300, a TV cost a lot more.

so, install only apps that r in playstore and those u hv used on other devices before, confirmed safe.

lastly, read post #2, last part... a bit out of date but still valid.
if u tell me what kind of apps u like to have, maybe i can point u in right direction.

yup, i can install like normal.
1. install file explorer from sharp playstore
2. download .apk from pc, copy to pendrive
3. open pendrive from file explorer
4. install apk, google prompt to change some setting
5. can see its installing and success, but i click 'close' instead of 'open'
6. then i couldnt find that installed apps

its a 3rd party IPTV apps that i use in my old 1gb ram cheap android box.

HI,

currently I am watching 8tv etc from my Hypptv on this model TV. However I found that the resolution is only 1080p stretched to 50 inches so it is really blurry. any fix?
*
50inch tv? so u watch bigger resolution tv with smaller size resolution as the source. nope. thers nothing u can do until '8tv etc from Hypptv' start to supply 4k quality.

Hi Avfan,
would like to check on LC60UA6800X vs 60ALIX, what is better and worth to buy is the prices are the same.
Thanks
*
both same, only that:

6800X - old model (slim)
ALIX - new model (thicker)

i might give misleading info about backlight vs edgelight, because from sharp website, both are edge.

not sure why my al1x labeled as 'backlight'.
