Just went to see at homepro at ioi city Mall. BK1X picture quality seems Abit darker for my liking. Even the sales person said this version macam downgrade instead of upgrade.

Woke up this morning saw this kind of vertical line across the screen. This month will be 2 years for my sharp. Is it possible to claim warranty? Bought extra warranty from senheng.

Yea, same as me a year ago (my line has been on right side).
If warranty ok, they will change screen (panel) or if no stock, complete TV (as me).

Strange that they claim panel from Japan has so many complain...... confused.gif

Btw,
anybody on Netflix can watch in HDR ?

My YouTube TV app, HDR contest go back to SDR (BT.709).

This TV boder me so much about YouTube HDR content.

HDR content are displaying as SDR (bt.709) on UA6800X series TV's and Sharp need released a firmware update (?) to enable YouTube HDR.
YouTube in HDR quality requires hardware (firmware) support for the ‘VP9 Profile2’ (vp09.02).

Now I have 2 apps installed which replace YouTube TV. They force VP9 (HDR) codec.

First is Smart YouTube TV,

deducated for Android TV,works very well for HDR content.

Second is YouTube Vanced (NON-ROOT) ,

deducated mostly for phones, but a bit with mouse help, works very nice for Android TV (acting as YouTube Premium).
Need to install apps + MicroG Vanced + Manager (optional).
More info can get on XDA or XDA forum.

Note:
When you watch real HDR content in Picture setting/ Advanced/ HDR Gamma Adjustment is no more greyed.... thumbsup.gif :

Guys just sharing a tip.
I always leave my tv on standby, as well as set the Quick Startup setting to ON.
A couple of weeks ago, my LC50UA6800X suddenly couldn’t be switched on. I tried the physical buttons on the tv, repaired my remote, even changing new batteries for remote, plugging out for 2 mins. Just wouldn’t turn on. Eventually it turns on but after 5-10 mins of trying. Doesn’t happen all the time but definitely once a day.

After day 3, I rechecked the Quick Startup setting and somehow it’s turned to OFF. I’m not 100% sure this was the cause and/or the solution, but the problem hasn’t returned since.

Hope this helps someone else out there! smile.gif

I also just bought an original remote from Shopee. May I know is there any compatible remote that can duplicate the original remote? The original one is damn expensive...plan to duplicate it and keep the original one in seal...

Other option that is way much cheaper is buy a learning remote. It only cost me RM 15. It will copy 100% original remote. But the problem is you need an original remote for it to copy.

I always kept my original remote in a very secure box, in case me or anyone would like to copy. But, i will charge much much cheaper than RM 200+ for the cost I need to bear for my insanely expensive original remote I bought in the first place..hehe

May I know where you buy the learning remote? Cos this kind of androidtv remote seems cannot simply duplicate to those universal remote control

Yea,
Sharp mislead in specification stated that you can watch YouTube in HDR on UA6800X series (a few posts above).

Smart YouTube TV will be OK.
Pressing "DISPLAY" buttun on remote, you can check if is HDR, as bellow:

I updated mine. So far can't see any difference. However i managed to install unifi play tv from Google play directly which was not available previously. If only i could use the tv remote just like the hypptv decoder remote. That's would nice.

i must be one of the last unifi users to be migrated to new playtv@unifi app.

now, u can install direct from playstore, works good on UA6800x.... think same for other ATV's.

it is close to HD, can naviagate OK with remote with the directional arrows and OK.
