We are currently using LC60UA6800X for the past one year, so far so good. Initially Netflix and YouTube used to crash, but after one or the software update; it's smooth as butter with no lag or crash.

a user of ue630x, i am now looking at the LC60UA6800X to replace an 8yr old sharp lcd.

no rush for me... maybe next few months, see how price change.

ASTROGO/Sideload Apps - Android 7.0:

for those who want to sideload astrogo 8.2.4 (official version) or any other app.

1. install x-plore app from tv playstore. this is a file manager... to read and install apps u hv in a thumb drive.
during installation, u may find the word "install" washed out, can't install. if so, use a simple trick, on/off of remote, to resume installation.

2. astrogo needs a mouse to navigate - can use any wireless mouse, airmouse.

3. need to install and set to default the indic keyboard from tv playstore as the default leanback keyboard is incompatible.

4. need to install a rotation lock app to get landscape rather than portrait. such an app cannot be found in tv playstore, get it from pc. e.g.:

after installation, open it, set to adaptive/landscape.

5. astrogo needs a package installer - this, u achieve by installing a browser.
get apk from pc... can use chrome or brave or firefox.

6. as astrogo is not an androidtv approved app, it does not appear at the home UI after installation.
you need to manually find it in settings, apps, open it from there.
or u install from playstore a sideload launcher; with this app, all other apps can be found and opened.

been using astrogo for 3 years now... on 50ue630x (android 5 or 6) and 60ua6800x (android 7 or 8).

if this or any app app get stuck or hung, just power off tv or go to settings to restart the android.

caution: the tv has security features to stop a malicious app from being installed.
still, i advise NOT to install unknown, unproven, suspicious apps in the tv.
if malware is bad enough, it may brick your tv.

after update to android 8.0 (sep 2018), astrogo installation:

if u want to install/reinstall astrogo, it is easier on this android 8.

.. get astrogo v8.2.6 (official version is fine), put in USB->tv usb.
.. must have orientation app installed, set to landscape. this one will work:

.. (previous "rotation app" which worked on android5, 6, 7 does NOT work here.)
.. if u did not accept proposed Puffin TV app during android8 update, please install it from playstore - required as installer package for astrogo.
.. (chrome or es file explorer NOT required and not preferred, and if u use either, u have to grant permission as installer.)
.. install from playstore X-plore as file manger to install; once u click install, it takes u to PuffinTV - click on the box "astrogo login"; the rest is straightforward.
.. a mouse is required to navigate; remote will not do.

Did you enter the advanced mode and did something there? From my experience, once enter the advanced mode somehow the soap opera effects come on.

You can factory reset it, and it returns to normal. If it doesn't, please contact Sharp

that is due to yr internet disconnected.

check yr modem, router, other devices OK.

then u do settings/about/restart or cut power/power on to restart... give it a couple of minutes to connect.

I don't think is internet disconnected.. when fedup of waiting for YouTube to load, I switch to Netflix and it works fine can watch series. Also this YouTube thing already few days cannot use.. already power off and open TV many times

Later I will check on your advise on settings/about/restart... To see if it works
