Hi Guys, I would like to ask for an opinion from you guys from the following 3 TVs:

Sharp 4TC50AH1X - RM 1,900
Samsung UA50RU7400 - RM 2,699
Sony KD49X8000G - RM 2,749

Content usually are downloaded content and also Netflix.

Which one will you recommend?

I don't mind purchasing additional Android TV box for Samsung TV if it's the better choice in terms of colour output or the better panel.

Most likely I"ll place an order by today as soon as I get some feedback.

Thank you!

sharp ah1x is NOT androidtv (ATV).
that's why it is much cheaper - rm1.9k vs that sony 2.7k which is ATV.
it has youtube but does not have netflix.

sharp ATV models are al1x and ua6800x.

this thread is about ua6800x.
al1x is newer but essentially the same as ua6800x:

it is difficult to compare models of diff brands... this u can only do if u have used all of them enough.

i can only comment on sharp models as i have used several of them in last decade.

if u r not into ATV, this major feature will be wasted...

if using rss ATV, use tv remote only.

press ok to bring up the task bar... navigate to rwd or fwd buttons below... press ok... repeatedly to keep fastforwarding.

takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it.

this is an open ended question, many variables.

so as not to misunderstand, please describe:

1. what do u want to display wifi from pc to TV - 500mb SD video or 10gb 1080p video or 100GB 4k movie?

2. what LAN equipment (router, cables, pc) and wifi speed u have - if they are poor, u can't do much.

3. what TV u have now, can it do what u r asking or u know some other TV that can do that?
*
1. hhrrmm what bout 1080p video?
2. ah lemme check my wifi speed, should be up to 1000mbps, since its dual band with 5ghz
3. nope dont have any tv that support this currently

QUOTE(enduser @ Jul 30 2019, 09:03 PM)
How about connected wirelessly thru chrome cast, Miracast etc ?
*
ic, am referring to when u do windows key + P, then connect to wireless display option on Windows 10, is miracast/chrome cast the same?

There are several ways... smb, chromecast...

For androidtv, use of SMB via es file explorer and kodi apps on tv is best for 1080p, navigation control.

U can also use chromecast but chrome restricts it to 720p only... 1080p, u need to buy license.

Do google, u find a lot of info on such methods.

any of you guys who already own these smart tv, do you purchase another android box tv as a precaution for not brick the tv?

im planning on purchasing mi box s becoz im afraid my tv will brick bcoz installing apk that not from play store
*
You cannot brick the tv by installing apps, unless you try to root it. Even if you messed up with the settings and apps you can always hard reset the tv to the default setting.

HI,

currently I am watching 8tv etc from my Hypptv on this model TV. However I found that the resolution is only 1080p stretched to 50 inches so it is really blurry. any fix?

Basically Hypptv Everywhere is a rip off in terms of PQ. Much worse than the STB!

Sometimes.. Not much of a fix.. Garbage in = garbage out. Which is why in store displays, you won't see these TVs playing Astro or Hypptv content. You could however, try tweaking the picture settings to see if it'll get better. Otherwise, really no choice but to simply accept the poorer experience.

Bigger isn't necessarily always better. Keyword here is "necessarily".. If you have access to and mostly play high res bitrate stuff? Bigger is better. But if daily you mostly only play low res stuff? You'd hate it cuz it will look bad than in a smaller screen.. See above posts.

RTM 123.. 789... Still in old sd, analogue... That's why they r poor. Stb poor, app worse.

News is by Sep, all goes digital... Maybe then will unifi change to digital HD.

Still, now, u can find HD digital streams already for those channels... Even ahem apps have them.
