i don't use the androidtv that much as i have a separate box.

but hv astrogo, rss icdrama (both details posted this page) and cloudtv.

good for fast access to news, casual shows.

lc60ua6800x is almost 1 year old now.

wait 6 months, will be <rm3k!

then, a new model will come out... as usual.

afaik, all sharp tv's normally carry 2 year warranty; extended warranty, u buy from seller.
some promotion cases, 5 years given - several people got that, incl me.

is this tv worth it?
for 60" rm3.5k, surely - for budget conscious, common home use, mid level, very acceptable results, with androidtv.
this is not a rm8k, 10k, 12k xled/yled/zled tv where i wud expect the sky; if not, better buy 2 or 3 tv's for price of 1.
the only thing i will tell u that is no good - the TV usb player - this is only good for simple videos in aac or dolby audio; all others will give no audio.
buy and use yr own player box, the tv can deliver great picture.

why spend more money on an old device?

there are plenty of media/android boxes in that price range that can handle 4k, hdr, 10bit... a must if u want dtshdma/ddtruehd/ddatmos/dtsx audio.

the better boxes will give a slight better picture quality that the TV androidtv for the same app.

but the androidtv is not wasted - i use it all the time - for a few simple apps.

and of course, youtube which is fabulous with voice search.

before u ask if this box or that box is good or bad, u gotta read a bit and define your requirements, budget.

like buying a car or a house or a tv, there is no "best" box, only a box that fits your requirements at acceptable price.

after using 5 sharp tv's in the last 10 years, i will say for ua6800x and ue630x:

.. great durability - chances are it will last you 5-7 years before bleeding or color washout.
.. picture quality is good enough, but dun get upset if some self declared gurus tell u it is crap compared to rm12k same size tv.
.. good wifi, can do 5ghz.
.. 4 hdmi, 2 usb... dun think u need more.
.. androidtv - yes, big bonus.
.. very decent price, u need not break an arm or a leg to get some good features.
.. tv player - poor, sharp never make this a priority, just give u a simple player (i agree, tv makers shud not compete with box player makers!)

if this is really the way u feel, i'm afraid u maybe making a wrong choice by going for any tv bigger than 50".

for 60" or higher, u gotta be mostly watching some good stuff - HD, 4k, etc.

i.e. playback own videos, min 1080p, bluray 4k, netlfix 4k, etc.

if u use it for RTM, TV3, DVD... even astro, unifi tv... u may find the picture "poor" due to TV size.

size does matter!

mibox is running on androidtv, just like the tv.
not the best combination to have same.

better u get a box that runs on generic android.
higher quality videos - how high, size of movie file?
for a 2hr movie, if size <10gb, little diff from box to box.
diff is when u play 40-90gb files.

for these, u gotta get something good.
mibox will not cut it.
more so if u want full BD menu.
for that, himedia, egreat and zidoo have models that can do.

make sure when the unit arrives, u be there and inspect the box, see if it has been opened or not.

it is always possible a seller is trying to sell off a used or returned unit to unsuspecting customer.

pretty sure it is 2/16 gb.

net of OS/firmware, storage is about 9gb - u can read that under settings, app, storage.

this tv has androidtv - the apps in playstore are limited.

if u know android/androidbox well, u can sideload other apps.

you mean voice search button on remote for youtube?

try checking youtube settings... maybe something not set right there.

can also uninstall youtube, reinstall, see how.

I remember reading something about this in the e-manual, check ìt.
Something about only hdmi3 and a certain setting can do this to get both hdmi and headphone jack working at same time.

I have v67.0.3396.87 on it, got from pc.

For astrogo installation, other browsers will work too, e.g. brave.
