Personal testing review

TV with a sony soundbar

A) Play music via USB
B) Play music via PS4 Pro

Same music input, but B the quality is richer, in terms of clarity and bass

Same result goes to samsung nu7100.

sure it is.

like many good box players, ps4 player definitely give better video and audio.

tv player is very basic, for basic files!

I hv used himedia q10pro for 1.5 years now.

For local playback, it is among the best players u can find.

More so if u r into big full bluray 4k hdr files with hd audio.

To my eyes, himedia q10pro native player output is superior to kodi app player... or any other app player.

Tv player.. to me, it is poor enuf that i never use it!

Android version is fine, 7.0; just dun buy anything android 5 or even 6 now since android 9 is already launched.

how would ua6800x 50" compare with sony x7500F 49" and samsung NU7400 50" in terms of picture quality?

i intend to use the tv in my bedroom (dark lightnings) for:

1) HK drama streaming
2) Football
3) movies
4) Netflix 4k

Not sure whether to pay the extra for samsung nu7400" and get an android box (Mibox international/minix neo u9-h) or settle with either sony/sharp.

some sellers will try to sell u the cheaper A5 or Q30 or Q5pro.

imo, Q10pro is well worth the extra rm100 or so.

as for tv youtube-audio... that is not an issue - whenever u use youtube of the tv, u get audio from tv, nothing to do with soundbar or box player.

What I meant was, if I were to use an Android box, with SB connected to box and when I watch Youtube using box (cause I don't wanna use too many remotes), I can't off SB cause will become no sound. laugh.gif

Unless I switch to using TV's Youtube, which I need to whip out TV's remote.

for youtube and netflix, u r much better off using the TV.
becos few boxes come with netflix 4k hdr.
and u need to get the right versions of youtube for box to do 4k.

yes, that's what i do all the time.
how do u find the sony androidtv?
i do not understand why some people say they hate it... shud be the same as the sharp androditv.
i gotta get my hands on somebody's sony androidtv and check it out.

just about ALL TV's come with shitty players for playback.
becos TV makers are supposed to make good displays, they dun spend research/money to make good players - and rightly so - that's somebody else's biz.
just that i think i am failing to convince u to forget using it. laugh.gif
u know... it does a lot of injustice to the thousands of rm u already spent on the TV and soundbar! tongue.gif

Don't think Android on Sony TV is any difference from other brands. Most of them running on MTK processor anyway. Slightly laggy here and there. Blame it on the lacked of CPU power.

I use the built in player mainly for 4k content. Somehow it seems smoother than Kodi @ 4k video.

As for good built-in TV player. I was pretty happy with LG' webOS built-in player. Has option to change subtitle colour, set delay and etc. Nothing on Sony's. πŸ˜…

That's like asking if Porsche made high performance driver's cars... rolleyes.gif Yes, it's an excellent media player. One of the best actually. Definitely, the best Android OS powered media player commercially available today.
