if u tried hdmi1 no good, can try hdmi2 and see how.

hdmi1, 2 are capable of 4k hdr, chroma 444; not hdmi3, 4.

from my experience with the touchpad remote of ue630x, no.

better get a wireless mouse or airmouse w/keyboard.

this is essential becos some apps can only be navigated with such a mouse.

no need to worry too much which brand/type of mouse as all of them will work.

for those keen on using the androidtv 8.0 of 6800x, here's what i am using, fully tested, all good:

.. astrogo 8.2.4 - sideload, a bit of work to install, please read last part of post #2.
.. new cloudtv - sideload, great for a few free channels incl news.
.. redbox v1.2 - sideload, best part part is the "malaysian" section - u will like what u find there; hv to put up with the ads, adfree version CANNOT be installed, rejected by tv security; works best with VLC player, install from playstore.
.. ZAL TV - this is available in playstore, u need to get code/password for m3u lists done by others (pm me if u wish to try); live iptv channels in HD.
.. Kodi - from playstore - good for local playback; set audio passthru, transcoding, u can playback anything, get max dolby digital audio.

for those with WiFi issue 5GHz (as me) on Oreo 8 (btw,is well known bug since a year ago !), go into the wireless router settings and set your 5GHz network channel to something under 48, let it reboot or save , then you should have your TV 5GHz network back.

I just set manualy channel 44 (before on Auto set channel 149)... save and in my TV WiFi setting already appear (and others) 5GHz WiFi networks.

Still hard to connect (2.4 & 5GHz). Need more investigation.....
At least no more..."not in range"....

Alternative option...disable IPv6 in router.

Stock TP-Link C1200,
just order today Archer 2300 ,as 3150 is everywhere out of stock.

As noted above,this is well known bug in Oreo 8, so I google and found this "fix".
Btw, will investigate more about this.

ok.

i start to suspect this stock router (i hv one in my drawer, not used since day 2) is the culprit.

i am using asus rtac 1300uhp, no problem with 5ghz for ua6800x 3 ft away with unifi 100mbps.

for older ue6300x, 55ft away, also no problem, can detect 5ghz alto sometimes it's too weak, it falls to 2.4ghz.

My new Archer 2300 should arrive in next 2-3 days (bought from Ookla),then I will see.
Seems Android 8 is more sensible on wifi then Android 7.

it's quite normal these guys are battling over tech.

the isp's vs networking eqpt makers vs the tv/devices makers vs content providers... eternal battle for dominance.

the bigger better cos. have better R&D, vision and $ to be cover more; poorer ones get left behind.

which is why i never buy the cheapest things... not the most expensive ones either... just the proven solid ones.

Just got my new router TP-Link C2300.

WiFi.....5GHz....."Not in range" (IPv6 off)......

Later on I will change channel...bellow 48 (auto set to 157).

DO you have previous android software for this model sharp ua6800x. latest software can't support my download application

Couple days back.. I did tell that you to check and manually configure your channels settings as router could be broadcasting on an unsupported channel to the TV.. At least, you've figured it out..

HI All,
The TV used to be able to show in background after you pressed the HOME button with the HOME menu overlay on top of the show that we are watching. Now with this Android 8.0 update, it doesn't do overlay anymore. Is there any setting that can bring that back? Before the update, the TV looks so high tech, now it looks like a SMART TV instead of ANDROID..
